“Greatest value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2011

This may not be the ritz, but for the price, this is a great stay. The rooms are what you can expect from a days inn; nothing too fancy. The best part of the stay though was the customer service. I had people holding doors for me, helping with luggage and everyone seemed like they had a smile on their face! I wasn't here for long, but this is one of the better days inn that I have stayed at. Again, great staff

“Hotel from Hell”

What ever you do, do not stay in this motel. This is the most discussting motel and we will never stay here again. We stayed on the third floor and the whole second floor is smoking here, so your room stinks like smoke all the time!!! our bed sheets and blankets had cigerette burns all over them. Gross! Continental breakfast, the selection was very limited, I would say the donuts are day old at best. Used soapbars left in shower and mold on the bathroom ceiling. Our coffee maker not cleaned out after we used it. We had to go down stairs to the front desk to get towels, the maids gave us two towels for four people. Very loud with doors slaming, people screaming and swearing. Don't stay Here!!

“Booked this hotel for relatives that came to visit and was ashamed.”

FYI I was embarassed to book relatives to stay here once I arrived. The elevator is in need of repair, there are fans in the windows, big trucks with grills and lounge chairs, and is in dire need of a paint job. It is nothing like what it portrayed on the internet. I learned a big lesson. Always check a place out first. And to boot they double charged me. When I called to question it, I was met by rude and vulgar tones, like it was my fault. They are not in the business of trying to please anyone. As I was looking at my credit card statement online, I was told they had not charged me double even though I was looking straight at it. And worse of all, there are some questionable people that loiter around the place. I felt I was in Chicago on Lower Wacker instead of Plymouth. It was awful, and if you just need a place to sleep, and are not easily offended this might be the place for you. I will never stop warning people against this hotel.

“Put your worries to rest, stay here!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2009

Attending a week long class in the area, this was one of the 10 hotels on the suggested housing list. It was also $20 less than the others on the suggestion list.

I booked the hotel 6 weeks before my trip and in the following weeks started reading the reviews. I have to admit some/many of them made me start to regret my decision to stay at DI. But, I also want to admit that none of the negative things I saw in reviews were present in MY stay.

The hotel was great, from start to finish. I had a room on the 3rd floor. The room was larger than many hotels I've stayed in. The bathroom area had a little alcove and wasn't visible from the bedroom. Ammenities included free wireless internet, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board/iron, coffee maker, standard DI continental breakfast.

Some of the reviews mentioned lack of internet -- which really worried me, since I needed to stay in touch with the world, and be able to do course work. The internet was fine, faster than some places I've stayed, and the signal was strong -- they had several routers you could connect to.

Another reviewer mentioned that there were several men hanging out outside of the place. As a single woman traveling that had me a little concerned. I saw a group like that one night -- construction workers from a road crew. I think they realized how intimidating they were and they were very neutral, no eye contact, no conversation with me. They weren't going to mess with anyone, AND since they are gainfully employed, they weren't going to stay up all night partying.

Put your worries to rest. This is a fine hotel. Very, very clean and quiet. Reasonably priced and my experiences with the staff were good. The towels were a smidge dingy -- not dirty -- just not the perfect white fluffy towels you crave. Perhaps a different laundry detergent, or a little bleach. That's it, my only negative -- and it isn't even a big one!

I felt very safe here and have no regrets about my choice!!!

“Big Room, expensive calls”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2007

I stayed here at the conculsion of our big trip and this place was just average. The biggest downside was that you have to pay for your phone calls. The biggest scams that hotels pull, other than the room safe. On that note, they must of forgot to try to charge me for it. The room was okay and the bed was nice and big. The breakfast and they give you a newpaper to boot. I would stay here again if I got the same great rate.
