I thought this was a decent hotel. The beds were soft and comfortable but sagged a considerable amount in the center. The rooms were okay. Decent sized and mostly clean, although I thought a little effort could have been made in some areas. Noise from the other rooms was considerably more than I like but not hugely disruptive.

We ate breakfast at the hotel. It was standard continental breakfast fare, which was alright to get something to eat before heading out for the day and not have to stop to eat.

The pool area seemed pretty small, but my son used it and I didn't hear any complaints.

This was my first stay at any Country Inn and Suites chain motel. We had reserved a suite online. When we arrived at about 4 pm the motel seemed quiet. However, they were unable to place us away from the 3rd floor elevator as the clerk said there was nothing else available. She said there was a hockey tournament nearby and the place was full of hockey players and their families. She had worked the previous night and they had received no complaints of noise and rowdiness.

I was worried about the noise but the room was quiet as it faced the movie theater parking lot. We did hear a train running nearby at midnight when I opened the window to cool down the room. There was some soothing highway noise as well.

The room was clean and well appointed with a microwave and small fridge. It was a bit crowded with too much furniture so that the french doors couldn't be fully opened between the bedroom and living areas.

They were out of the signature chocolate chip cookies at arrival but I was able to taste one the next day -- mediocre.

The breakfast room doubled as game room and people seemed to use that area frequently for card playing and visiting. The breakfast choices were wide ranging and the hot food was torillas, chopped up ham and scrambled eggs to make your own breakfast burrito. Their coffee was not too great but there was a Starbucks and lots of other fast food choices within easy walking distance. I forgot about the non-chain Tory's restaurant that is nearby and has better choices than the fast food ones.

We were in town for a birthday party and this location allowed us to and from the party. We were told there is no hotel shuttle but the city offers a $5 taxi ride which we considered. It was a beautiful day and quite a nice walk past charming older homes and a beautiful city park.

I would recommend this hotel for your Owatonna accommodation needs.

Clean, modern, three-story hotel adjacent to I-35. Friendly, courteous staff, small pool, elevator. Good breakfast: waffles, eggs, sausage, fruit, oatmeal, juices, and the other usual foods. Highly recommended.

Our room was small and there was no easy chair for sitting -- only an uncomfortable desk chair. One tip: the rooms with two queen beds might be larger than the rooms with only one queen bed. We only needed one bed and as a result were stuck in a room next to the elevator -- the elevator shaft occupied a portion of our room that would otherwise be dedicated to a second queen bed. If you can get a room with two queen beds, you would have more space than our room had.
Mattress was lousy - it was clean but it sagged. The pillows were too thick for our likings.
Breakfast was good and the young staff was pleasant and very helpful. Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke and the staff offered to find us another room but we were only there for one short night and didn't want to bother.
