We stayed 2 nights while visiting St. Olaf. The room was basic and clean -- except for one long hair on the shower wall which made us wonder what else wasn't cleaned well...but we didn't SEE anything else. The room felt a bit sterile because of the stark white walls combined with the budget furniture. A softer color would have been more inviting and relaxing.
We didn't use the hot tub or pool since the hot tub looked a little in need of cleaning when we looked through the window.
There was free wifi in the rooms, and a decent continental breakfast.
The pillows and beds were not comfortable at all, however. I like a firm mattress, but these were very uncomfortable. I went to Target to buy 2 new pillows after the first night, and put up with the bed for the second night because I didn't want to pay twice as much for the Country Inn down the road.
So if you just need a room with basic accomodations and bring your own pillow, it's worth paying half the price of the other hotels in town.
