Our week-end at Bingham Hall was truly a relaxing experience. From the warm and friendly atmosphere, to the comfy, cozy bed, to the delicious breakfast and pleasant conversation in the morning, it was a very enjoyable stay. We felt right at home and all amenities were well provided. We will definately stay there again in the future. Our Thanks to Shannon and Todd and their family for their genuine hospitality!

“Best B&B of our trip”

This charming New Ulm B&B was the lodging highlight of our mid-September expedition to visit historic sites throughout the Minnesota River Valley, followed by a drive north along the Red River and on to Winnipeg. For seven years, the dedicated owners of Bingham Hall have been restoring and polishing this gem---and it shows. We stayed in "Lothard's Room," a spacious light-filled retreat toward the back of the house. Like all the rooms in Bingham Hall, it has a queen sized bed with an extraordinarily comfortable mattress, high ceilings, beautiful decor, cable TV with lots of channels, complimentary beverages around the corner and soft bathrobes in the bathroom. Our bountiful breakfast in the lovely dining room the next morning included fresh fruit, French toast, sausages, roast potatoes, juice, milk, coffee and/or tea---and the morning newspaper. You couldn't ask for more. ---Paul and Jean, history buffs, St. Paul

“Great place”

I stayed at Bingham for two nights on a business trip, and it was wonderful. Shannon and Todd are incredibly friendly and I felt quite welcome from the start. The room was very comfortable (the bed is fantastic in the Lothard room) and the high speed internet made work simple. Shannon will make either a full or continental breakfast for you. The house itself is a beautifuly restored late 1800s Victorian.

You definitely feel like you are in a functioning family's house at Bingham. This made my trip much more pleasant. Also, New Ulm is a fantastic small town; everyone I met was friendly, and I had some excellent German food.

“Home away from home”

While visiting New Ulm for business, I have stayed at this one every time since I had discovered it. Unlike most other B&Bs in New Ulm, this one offers an ideal set-up for a business traveler, and especially the one who is tired of travel. The rooms are spacious and beautifully setup, the 32” TVs, DVD players, and High Speed Internet bring all the modern conveniences to each room, without overpowering the charm of staying in a beautiful house. There is even a small refrigerator filled with beverages and a box filled with all kinds of personal items one might need while staying away from home, available at no additional charge. Since the first time I stayed there, the hosts have received me like a member of their family, making sure that I am comfortable and I have everything I need to get my work done, as well as relax. When visiting New Ulm, this is the ONLY place I would ever consider staying in, especially since before I discovered Bingham Hall I stayed in other B&Bs in the area.

  • Liked — The hosts have made me feel very comfortable, and made sure I had everything I needed.
  • Disliked — Can't think of anything right now.
  • Tips/Secrets — If you are not a big breakfast person, you may want to tell Shannon about it right away :-)

“Part of the family”

Shannon and her family made Derek and I feel like we were cousins there for a visit. The room was fantastic and we had a great meal at the restaurant she recommended. We LOVED the gorgeous slate-surrounded tub in the room and the big, comfy bed.

In the morning, we relaxed by a sunny window reading together and then had a fabulous breakfast and visited for a bit before we left for the day.

Every detail was wonderful! We hope to be back soon.
