Ours was a midweek overnight in a two-room king suite, and would echo comments of other visitors: well-maintained--and decorated for the holidays at our stay--and every single staff person we encountered was friendly and committed to customer service, including housekeeping and the woman restocking breakfast. There is a small bar in the lobby area, and there was complimentary hot soup and cookies in the evening in addition to the usual hot beverage selection. The hotel is at the side of Hwy 53 and backs up to a railyard: the hotel provides earplugs in recognition of the train noise, but we didn't find them necessary as the hotel is well-insulated. On check-in, the room had a strong air freshener smell, but we opened a window before heading back out, and the room aired out completely by our return. Our suite was at the top of the stairs, leading me to wonder about noise from within the hotel, but that also was no concern at all. The breakfast was good: cheese omelettes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, toasting options, yogurt, and so on. The desk staff were great, especially Jennifer who copied some documents for me and was really pleasant.
