We visited Monticello for our son's wedding. Our entire family stayed at the Best Western. We were all so happy with our rooms, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to be accomodating and courteous. The room we had was very clean and quiet. We so appreciated the pool (to entertain the younger ones), and the wonderful breakfast. We made use of the hotels banquet room for a family reunion as well, which was very nice.
And of course the fresh baked cookies were a hit too!!!

I had mistakenly booked a smoking room. I am very thankful that the desk clerk pointed that out. When I said I certainly didn't want a smoking room, he quickly reprogrammed my card keys and said that because there were only 4 rooms vacant for that night, the only place he could put me was in a two-room suite. "Enjoy", he said with a smile. He also gave me a bag with water and treats in it, as well as a package of coupons for nearby dining. The suite was fantastic. Huge, clean, and beautiful. It was like an apartment. It was very easy to get around in Monticello as it's not a large place, and I took lots of pictures of the Mississippi River shortly before sunset. There is a gas station a short distance away and it is only about a block off the highway. Great location, and the breakfast was quite nice, a lot of variety. This hotel would have received five stars from me if it weren't for the fact that they allow smoking in some of the rooms. I could smell cigarette smoke wafting under the door in my room and it really turned me off. Overall, great service, great location. Make it all non-smoking and I'd recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed here two nights in the whirlpool suite, room #103. We used our two free nights coupons we got from the summer promotions (we stayed a lot of nights in Best Western's this year!).

This property in Monticello was very nice. They did the little things well, such as having a small gift basket in the room for us when we checked in, and also another bag filled with coupons and info on the local shopping and restaurants. Very nice touch!

The breakfast was very good (ignore the below post stating differently since it is quite dated). They had hot food available like biscuits and gravy (yum!), as well as a selection of items like french toast and waffles that could be toasted. They also had fresh fruit, yogurt, 3 selections of juices, and several cereal selections, plus hard boiled eggs. Also many rolls and doughnuts that were fresh.

The room was nice and clean upon check-in, and the whirlpool bath was nice. I used the treadmill in the fitness center and it worked well.

The only issue I'd say we had here was that the large hot tub in the main pool area was fairly dirty. The pool itself was fine by the hot tub could use a good cleaning.

All workers (front desk, cleaning staff, etc) were very polite and friendly!

Another nicety was that the vending machines were not ridiculously overpriced as is the norm for most places now. You could actually get stuff for a dollar and get change back!

We'd stay here again if we were going to do the Black Friday shopping at the Albertville Outlet Mall again (we scored some incredible deals there!!!).

The Best Western Chelsea Inn was a good hotel for the location. We were going to shop in nearby Albertville, so we wanted a hotel there. However, the hotels there are outrageously expensive. So, we booked a room here. The man at the check-in was very polite and quick. We felt safer on the second floor, so we got a room there. The room was nice. The beds were very comfy and the room is of adequate size. And, Albertville is only about 10 minutes from the hotel.The breakfast was good and filling. The only problem we experienced was one day we came to our room after a day of shopping, we noticed the door was slightly ajar. I wondered if someone had broken in. However, the polite check-in man came up and looked at the door. No one had broken in, the door lock wouldn't latch.. He told us we could wait for a repairman or to switch rooms. We were just about to go out so we decided to change rooms. He quickly came up with a new set of keys to a new room. He was again very polite. Overall, this hotel is a great bet and if you are going to Albertville, stay here and not at the pricey and overrated Albertville hotels.
