It looks like they are building a new Hampton Inn & Suites about 300 yards to the west (slated to open in 2013), so that pretty much tells you that they aren't investing a whole lot in the current facility. That being said, it's in good shape, in a very good location, and seems to be a good value compared to other hotels in the area. The hot breakfast was often low or out of items (I was there for 5 days) even before 7:00. The tv had some volume problems and the remote had seen better days. But those are small issues. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here on a Sunday night for business in the area the following morning. The hotel generally did not appear too full. Check-in was a breeze and the room was nice; breakfast was nice, wifi was free. Large area near the desk, and LCD TV's, but mine was not programmed for HD. The bath was nice, large counter space which is a pet peeve of mine. The property itself is ok. The property probably needs a good refurb at some point - looks old-ish from the outside and hallways, etc. The service team was great to deal with. My only issue was the business computer software was way out of date. But, for the price paid, the value is pretty solid.

The property is well kept up. The staff is helpful. The room was well appointed, large, and lighting was good. The swimming facility is large and clean.

This Hampton, albeit consistent, was well appointed and relatively well updated. The rooms were clean and fresh and staff were courteous and prepared. A nice launching poitn for many destinations in the Minneapolis area.
