“Great hotel”

We had a great stay @ Holiday inn Express. We came to Minneapolis to go to the 3rd lair skatepark, which is within walking distance of the hotel, which was great for our kids. They had movie nights in lobby, a pool, whirlpool, workout room, free breakfast, all you could ask for in a hotel. The beds were like clouds, and were very spacious and had a microwave and refrigerator in room, which was handy for snacks, pop. EVERYONE was helpful, they have EXCELLENT customer service here! The breakfast was great too and a free newspaper in the morning, It was overall a great stay!

We stayed at this hotel and August and absolutely loved the place! The front desk staff was amazing and very helpful. We loved the pool area which was bigger than the average hotel pool. Nice outside patio area.
Would definately stay again.

“Nice Holiday Inn Express”

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Golden Valley on vacation in June. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, courteous and knowledgable of the area. The public areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained. Also, the hotel is conveinent to numerous resturants and downtown Mpls is 10 minutes away. The area around the hotel is very safe. I would stay here if in the Twin Cities again.

“Loved this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2004

I stayed here with my 13 year old daughter on a trip to Minnesota to see the Mall of America, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and let her check out the awesome amusement park called Valleyfair (definately check it out if you're in the area). We had stayed 2 nights in Duluth upon arriving, and then headed in to the Twin Cities area to pick out a hotel. We saw this place off the freeway and it looked decent. The front desk staff were great. I asked about room availability and the room they offered seemed a little pricey so I told them this, and they upgraded me to a suite at the same price and I immeadiately accepted! They were very friendly and accomodating and we had a nice 2 bedroom king suite for less than $100. What a deal!

One of the reasons I love to stay at any Holiday Inn Express is the breakfast. I always book at a place with a free continental breakfast as it saves money, but some of them don't have too many appealing choices. This place has donuts, sweet rolls, whole fruit, hard boiled eggs, delicious hot cinnamon rolls, trix yogurt, about 5 cereal choices, bagels, and toast. For beverages they have pitchers with different kinds of milk, apple juice, and orange juice. They have hot chocolate, coffee, and tea. The selection is wonderful and is constantly being replenished by the staff. My daughter is a picky eater and she is always satisfied with the kid-friendly choices of Trix yogurt, cinnamon rolls, cheerios, and apple juice. It fills her up and there's never any complaining. There's a big screen TV in the breakfast area and a lot of comfortable seating.

In the room we had a nice big bathroom. The shower had very good water pressure, rare in hotels. In the bedroom I occupied there was a very comfortable kind bed with nice pillows. I had a sink and a TV as well. My daughter slept on the sofa bed and loved it! She at first complained about not getting the bed, but fell asleep within 5 minutes on the sofa bed. It was big and comfortable which was a big plus. We had doors separating our rooms so she could watch her TV shows before bed and I could catch a baseball game or news. She could also go to bed at a decent hour without being distracted by me watching TV and all the lights on. There was a nice mini kitchen with a fridge, microwave, sink... great for warming up leftovers and storing drinks and snacks.

I highly recommend this place! You get a lot for the small price you pay. Next time we fly out to the twin cities, we are staying here without a doubt. Our experience in Minnesota was amazing thanks to this place.
