We have stayed here at least one night every year for the past 4 years. We enjoy the cookies at 10pm. The accommodating staff (front desk, housekeeping and maintenance always is willing to assist us when needed. While poolside, we regularly have had management come by and check in with us regarding our service and stay.

We like the poolside rooms and find they are not too noisy even when the pool is open and we are in our room with the door closed. Their night staff is patient and accommodating as well (especially on special occasions).

We love this wonderful gem located in downtown Minneapolis! It has a distinct personality and doesn't fall into the cookie cutter class of most other hotels. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfy. The Normandy Kitchen has wonderful food and the happy hour is a great benifit. Our room faced the pool and spa area and we were able to open the sliding glass door and feel as if we were transported to a warmer climate. If you are looking for a place to stay that will be memorable then I think you can't go wrong by choosing the Normandy!

The hotel is in a good location downtown. It was a five dollar cab ride from nightlife. The front desk guy was rude and pretty sure not liking his job. The bartender could only do one thing at a time, literally. Also complained about the owners....it was strange. Overall, we would stay again but would know to expect mediocre customer service at best.

My wife and I were a little apprehensive when booking this hotel in downtown Minneapolis, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! Very friendly and helpful staff, quiet, large, nicely appointed room and a very good price. Check in was a breeze. The king size bed was very comfortable, spacious and clean. We were in town to see our son who is attending the UofM, an easy drive just up the Interstate. We also had breakfast at the restaurant which I will review separately (we were pleased).
