At first I didn't know what to think. I mean no hair dryer. I went downstaris (there was no phone) & Terry gave me a hair dryer. After hair drying, no TV for news... Then the penny dropped... the silence I had been seeking was here. After seeing a Henrick Ibsen play at the Commonweal Theatre, we strolled back to Mrs. B's with a glass of wine in hand.
We went to the "garden". A golden colored cat greeted us by the gate. It was softly lit mystical & serene scene. We sat in the rocking chairs & listened to the gurgling of the Root River. Then we made our way through the different leveled terraces, each one with a bench, bird bath, & loads of fragrant peonies. It was delightful & peaceful.

We loved our weekend getaway to Mrs. B's - beautifully decorated historic building. The Bike trail goes by right in front of them and we had two wonderful days of biking. The breakfasts were fabulous. We enjoyed the gardens and sitting in the shade in the afternoons.

Mrs B's was the perfect choice. Very clean and located in the main part of town. We were there with a car club and found the staff to be very helpful and accomodating. Now,
the real treat.... the breakfast was as good as any I've had anywhere.....

This was our first visit to Lanesboro and our Mrs. B's experience helped make it wonderful. The breakfasts are outstanding. Terry and Ginger are personable and friendly. Our room was very well-appointed, beautifully kept up.
A couple of earlier reviewers mentioned the Rules. The only rule we hadn't seen in other inns was to remove your shoes before entering your room. We realized the wisdom of the rule when we got back after a muddy bike ride!
Lanesboro is a great little town and we'll be back. And we'll stay at Mrs. B's.
About parking: Parking in Lanesboro is tight on weekends but we arrived Wednesday. We parked our truck in a public lot and didn't need it again until Saturday.
