Mrs. B's has a huge history and the last time that we stayed there around 2000 it was in poor repair. There have been 2 different owners since then and the current owners have turned this beautiful inn around by restoring it to it's former self. And it needed it badly.
The breakfasts are very good and fresh. Terry and Ginger, the owners are very nice and do spend some time with you.
There are drawbacks however. The room that we had was nicely painted and furnished . The bed linens were nice however the mattress was in desperate need of being replaced. Not only did it sag to the middle but also from top to both. The other couple traveling with us had the same complaint. Also while I don't mind reusing my towels for a couple of days, I expect the wastebaskets to be emptied on a daily basis and they were not. Also we were only given a complexion bar of soap, none for the shower. The complexion bar was gone in 2 days and then not replaced. The other couple didn't even have that bar of soap upon check in and had to ask for a bar of soap. I no longer travel with a hairdryer as all of the places nowadays have them in the room even in very small village inns in foreign countries. The rooms at Mrs. B's did not furnish one but I had to ask for one which was gladly loaned to me.
