My husband, daughter and 2 grandchildren and I stayed at Bert's Cabins in August 2010. The cabin we stayed in was perfect for the 5 of us. We had everything a housekeeping cabin needs. Just bring your pool towels if you plan to use the heated pool. Dave and Pat are fantastic hosts. They have a little piece of Heaven just a mile from the Headwaters of the Mississippi. And they are willing to share. We will be back next August!

A clean, well appointed cabin in a great MN state park!
You have everything you could need. The only thing lacking were the towels-- which to quote my husband were "glorified washcloths."

But other than that fabulous. My nephews loved the pool!

WE were staying at Douglas Lodge and took a trip in our car around
Wilderness Drive, We were going past Berts Cabins when we noticed something in the road, we stopped and it turned out to be a Ernie doll. We stopped at Berts Resort and asked if anybody lost a doll, we
then took it to Douglas lodge and turned it in to the lost and found. At the end of our two week stay they gave it back to my 5 year old son.
We found it funny to find a Ernie Doll out front of Berts Cabins. We
have stayed in Itasca Park for 12 Years, everytime we go by Berts
Cabins we comment on how nice they look, and that some year we have to stay there.

I stayed at Bert's Cabins a few years ago and i still go back to visit every year. Bert's Cabins is like a second home, their cabins are so warm and inviting. Each Cabin is done up in its own way, which makes it more inviting. The Owners are really nice and make you feel really welcomed. They also have a pool so familys can go swimming and relax after a long day of sight seeing. I would recommend Bert's Cabins to anyone who wants to get away and relax and yet have fun.
