The rooms are mostly clean and confortable bed and very nice leather chair. The plasma TV is great! The pool/ hot tub has a nice setup..dim lighting and relaxing music -comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Not so good: the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. The breakfast is poor. They offer "eggs" and sausage along with the usual. The waffle iron is defective. The coffee cup had a hole in it and burned my hand. Likely someone playing a joke. Once I tasted the coffee, I had to confirm with the front desk that it WAS coffee. I was quoted a good deal by calling the hotel directly. FYI I asked for the government discount, which was $15 less/ night and they didn't ask for verification.

My family and I stayed at the AmericInn in Hastings (February, 2007).The hotel was recently remodeled so everything is new and extremely clean. There is all new carpeting and tile throughout the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. They provided us with a role-away and extra pillows upon request.
The breakfast buffet was spectacular hosting fresh fruits, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gray, assorted cereals, sweet roles, etc. There was something for everyone!
We all enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and swimming in the pool after a long day on the slops (Welch Village, the local ski hill). Our children had a great time shooting hoops in the pool.
The whole hotel is wireless so I was able to email work from our room. The lobby also has a computer, printer, copier, and fax.
The best part is that all of the rooms have been remodeled too with new mattresses, new t.v.'s, mini refrigerators, ironing boards and irons, and a blow dryer. The hotel was nice and quiet in the evening which was a huge plus.
There was so much to do in the Hastings and the surrounding area (skiing, shopping, coffee shops, restaurant, casino, live entertainment, etc) that my husband and I are already planning our next trip to the AmericInn.
