I booked online early on the same day we would be staying at the hotel. I booked the room & then quickly received confirmation emails. My friend & I arrived late in the evening after a long day of driving & when I gave the woman behind the counter my name, she quickly informed me that there was no room for me. She told me that she didn't know why the website would book a room when they were full. I understand that mistakes happen, but I was mostly disturbed because she wasn't surprised by my arrival. The hotel receives a notification with the customer's information when someone books online. I am curious why she didn't call me right away to inform me that I didn't have a room. I assume that she was hoping I wouldn't show & she could still charge me for the room. Since this was a holiday weekend, my friend and I had a very hard time finding an available room for the night. Not impressed!
