Wife and I stayed at the resort for a short week, mainly due to the inclement weather which is natural for that time of year. We have no complaints about anything at the resort. Staff was great in all ways, the pontoon was a great addition, so we didn't have to pull the boat all the way from home. We caught fish and had a good time, hope to get back there in 2009.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Lady Bug Lodge and had a wonderful time! We are returning in 2007 as well. The pontoon boat that came with the cabin was a tremendous perk (although the fishing was not good for us--our fault, not the lodge owners--they were more than helpful and offer guide service as well). We would definitly recommend Lady Bug Lodge for families and couples!

This is the second year that my husband and I have stayed at the Ladybug Lodge, and we hope to stay here again next year. The cabin we stayed in is located right on the water so we could hear the loons calling during the night. We made good use of the pontoon boat and kayaked the Burntside River - a bald eagle flew almost directly over us. Elizabeth and Bernie and their family were wonderful hosts.

We stayed 6 nights and 5 days at Lady Bug Lodge. The cabin had been redone for 2006 and it was very nice. The fishing, while not so good for us was very good for everyone else so I will blame ourselves on this shortcoming. The owners were very gracious and accomodating. We enjoyed the place so much we are returning next year. It is only about 10-15 minutes away from downtown Ely. There is live bait available on-site. You get a pontoon (w/motor) and canoe with your cabin and the cost of all of this is more then reasonable. I would highly recommend this place. Shagawa lake is where the lodge is located and the lake was beautiful and you can canoe into the Burntside river which is very peaceful and serene.
