We had an incredible weekend at the Whitefish Lodge! Thanks in part to the large room that accommodated our family of 5 and the superior staff that took excellent care of our large group. We will definitely be back!

My family stays here once per year. We enjoy the cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, great amenities, clean rooms and affordable prices. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I had booked this room on a Sunday for the upcoming Friday. Last night, Tuesday, I was informed that my uncle passed away in a car accident and I needed to make the trip down to be with family for the funeral, leaving tonight. When I called to cancel my reservation, I was told there was a 7 day policy for cancellations, which she told me was stated on my confirmation email. I informed the woman that I had not even booked the room 7 days prior to my expected stay, so how could I possibly give 7 days notice? It is not possible. The response I got?... "Yeah, that happens sometimes". I lost my money I needed to use for gas for this unexpected long travel, and no sincerity or respect form staff AT ALL!!!!!!!! I will never stay here!!!!!

Upon Arrival on Sunday from the Twin Cities with a confirmed reservation, there what is no 1 attending the front desk. U Walk in, press a button and apparently That is when the staff member is paged. We waited a while & checked in and then asked about the restaurant & local activities including a sleigh ride. We were told she would have to get back to us. Pool was filled that morning & still cold. I called down 3 hrs. Later around 7p.m. asking about the restaurants. I was told that the restaurant closed at 9 pm in it was 4 miles away so we needed to get going because the restaurant was not open for business on Mondays. Around midnight I had a slip n fall in the bath tub & call down to the front desk for help but he refused to get me hope or give any assistance. I called down the next morning and again could get no help from the staff. We stayed 1 night & was forced to cut our 3 day stay short to get medical attention and drive back to the twin cities. NO help or assistance was ever offered & ZERO Sympathy/compassion was shown.They denied Anything even happened but NEVER took a statement from either guest staying there.
