I have been booking with Ludlow's for may years. The owners are hands on day and night. The staff is professional and courteous as well. Cabins are very comfortable and first rate. I've been just about everywhere, and I keep coming back every year to Ludlow's.

This is a wonderful & unique resort and we feel so fortunate to have found it. The lake is magnificent and we were in awe of the beautiful scenery every direction we looked. Our cabin was everything we had hoped for and we especially enjoyed the lake view, outdoor deck, screened porch, and the fireplace with a constant supply of wood. The cabins are very well supplied and tastefully furnished. The employees were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We had rented a boat for the time we were there so could go exploring or fishing at our whim. Be sure and check out some of the local restaurants....The Vermilion Club, The Landing, and Montana Cafe...all excellent in our opinion. We really enjoyed our visit to the town of Ely and the take-out desserts we purchased at The Chocolate Moose. Wish we had planned to eat there as the menu looks great!. Our entire stay at Ludlow's Island Resort was truly a stellar & first-class experience.

I recently organized a Sales Incentive Trip for a group of 10 individuals consisting of top producers and management. Ludlow's is a beautiful resort offering a unique experience to stay on an island and exceeded our expectations in every way possible. They helped plan all of the details prior to the event - the meals, cabins, transportation, hiring the fishing guides, pre-stocking the cabins with food and beverages, and so much more. Once we arrived at the lodge, we received the best service and attention to detail possible. This included delivering our luggage direct to each cabin, delivering meals to individual cabins for those who may be feeling ill or who arrived late, taking us by boat to our dinner reservations on the lake, all the way through to parking our van and loading it up for our departure. This resort has done their research on hospitality and how to make the best stay possible for groups! I highly recommend Ludlow's and will surely be organizing more trips with them!

We attended a wedding reception at Ludlow's in June. The resort had a special feel from the moment we arrived and boarded the lovely wood motorboat for the short trip from their parking lot to the island. Our luggage was whisked away on another boat and arrived in our cabin before we did. Our cabin was lakefront with screened porches, complete kitchen, and all the amenities, including a robe. No phones, no televisions. Beautiful grounds, paths, and scenery. The food at the reception, prepared in the resort's kitchen on site, was outstanding! With such delicious food, it is a shame there is no actual restaurant or bar there on the island. Lake Vermillion is beautiful and the atmosphere of the north woods is just wonderful. Highly recommend for couples, families, anyone wanting to really relax and enjoy a lovely setting and fresh air.
