We conduct leadership conferences at various conference centers worldwide, and this property exceeded our expectations in every way. Ann Karels-Delaney and her team are real pros, and the location is excellent if you want to be out in the countryside. Not close to urban areas or other restaurants, but easy driving to anything around. Highly recommended.

Overall, very nice but not a lot of amenities. If you are relying on someone else to transport you around, make sure you have everything you think you will need beforehand, because this is a solid half hour to the city, and there is not much else around the area. Otherwise, the rooms are very basic and clean, and the staff is nice and accommodating.

The Oak Ridge conference center is Chaska is a great place to hold a meeting or a teambuilding event. They have about 35 meeting rooms and their staff works closely with meeting leaders to meet the needs of your team.

The best part of Oak Ridge in my mind is the head chef and his team. The food is postively wonderful. Every day there are buffet meals, and breaks are set up in common areas used by multiple meeting guests. The Pastry Chef keeps them well stocked.
The head Chef can also arrange meals in many locations including outside. You can also arrange to cook your own meal as part of a teambuilding event.

As far as amenities, the hotel is located next to Lake McNight - and has a 1.5 mile running/jogging/biking path running around the lake. The grounds include a ropes course and high rise climbing wall. The fitness center is well-appointed and there are two raquetball courts on-site. There are two sand volleyball courts outside as well.

The business center has printing capabilities and there is free wireless internet throughout the entire facility - rooms and meeting rooms.

The sleeping rooms are nice, clean and functional, although not overly elaborate. I don't see this as a problem because it is just a place to sleep.

The Oak Ridge also does weddiing and they have several spots on the grounds where outdoor services could be held.

My husband and I had our wedding there July 2011. Everything about the whole weekend was absolutely perfect. All staff were extremely helpful, food for all meals was excellent and I loved my in-house Oak Ridge wedding planner. It was so easy to plan and have a wedding here. Cannot say enough good things about Oak Ridge.
