I reserved and paid for this room thru hotels.com and even though the room was paid for I still had to give up a credit card for "incidentals" Okay that was fine, normal process.

We go to our room and find their is only one king bed, when we asked what happened to our reservation for the double beds they said hotels.com doesn't know what the hotel really has and basically we get stuck with whatever they have available.

The front staff is rude and not really helpful and we found a used When I complained about this they were less than sympathetic and basically said what do you want us to do about this.

I will never stay at his hotel again. Never!!!!

My husband and I came here five years ago when we were first married and we were really happy with it.

All the times I've been there the food has been pretty good, and they seem to be pretty clean, but the decor is dated.

I recently booked a room in February for a mommies rest time for me and some friends, and they put us next door to a room that had a poker party going on all night. The hotel knew about the party as they were the ones bringing food and and out, and they still put someone next door to them. There were plenty of other rooms available. Needless to say, non of us slept, and I made comment of it and they gave me another comp night to try it out another time. Fair enough.

We went there tonight and left at 11 pm the same night. I found a bed bug in the bed. Gross. I called the manager right away and told him and he offered to give us another room and apologized, but you know what, those critters spread. He offered to comp the room, ahh, it was already a comp room. I gave the place another chance, I really did, and I came away disappointed. He said that it couldn't possibly be a bed bug cause this critter was moving fast. I just looked it up and they move fast. This thing looked JUST like the pictures. Don't stay in 331. I think they are the type of hotel to fix things right away. So, hopefully this won't be an issue soon.

We stayed for a weekend and had a great time. It was very quiet here that weekend so we got a lot of needed sleep and rest. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was great. The room did get a bit warm so we did have to open a window to cool it down as the thermostat was on the lowest setting. The whirlpool tub in the bathroom was so nice. They are in every room. It is quite large and bubbles up nicely. My husband used the fitness room and said it was perfect for him. The pool is small and we did not use it. I would stay again in an instant.

  • Liked — the 2 room suite and the whirlpool in the bathroom
  • Disliked — the room temperature

We stayed at the Northland Inn on a Saturday. We were immediately greeted by a very friendly man near the entry who took extra time to find us a luggage cart, which was very helpful. The front desk staff was very professional and courteous. The hotel is quite nice and well maintained in general, although it is getting a little dated and some areas are showing wear. The rooms are very spacious and ours was extremely clean. The restaurant is excellent. We have eaten at both the Friday night seafood buffet and the Saturday night prime rib buffet and they are both very good, but pricey...expect to pay around $100 for three adults, and it is wise to make a reservation in advance. The only problem that we encountered was minor... the doors tend to rattle when people are coming and going and it can get quite noisy in the evenings as all rooms face the large open atrium/lobby area where the restaurant and bar are located. The layout of the rooms makes it possible to shut an additional door near the bathroom which lessens the noise in the sleeping area significantly. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Northland Inn and would recommend it to friends.

I travel to Minnesota frequently on business and have enjoyed my stays at the Northland Inn.

The service is excellent. The rooms are clean and spacious. They have a very good restaurant that's a bit pricey, perhaps, but good food.

The hotel's location is remote and if you're planning to spend time in downtown Minneapolis or venture to places such as the Mall of America, you would probably want to stay elsewhere.

The decor throughout the hotel is dated. The swimming pool area definitely could use a facelift. If those things matter to you, stay elsewhere.

Overall, I think the Northland Inn is a great value for the price.

  • Liked — Great service. Great value for the price.
  • Disliked — Location.
