“No thank you...try another place”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2010

Stayed Jun 2010 - If you are just needing a quick stay and the reduce the price dramatically, this would be an okay stay. Paid $63 a night. The bed was comfortable, but the questionable parts....wall stains, bedding, towel removal and needs some updates. The desk staff were great, but the cleaning crew was rushing us to get our breakfast, which 10 mins is plenty of time to grab breakfast and head to the room. I am a regular hotel goer and would not stay here again. Needs a pool to extend the price any higher.

“Priceliners and Families with small kids RUN FOR THE NEXT HOTEL....”

My family and I are in the process of relocating out of the country, so we needed a temporary place to stay for the next few months, I thought about a short term stay hotel but decided since I have had lots of luck in the past with priceline I would try it....As a side note I have stayed in hotels through priceline in many states including MN, IN, NJ, as well as IL. Anyways while checking in when they found out we used priceline its like a special note went into the computer staying dont give these people anything they ask for. We were given a smoking room with an asmathic person, they dont care. We have a 1 and 3 year old with us and per the Comfort INN website you can request a fridge and microwave on request ofcourse once we got to hotel these items are a part of a PAID UPGRADE its a joke. We asked many times to be moved and were given the run around. I would never suggest u stay here for more than one night and for sure if u have little kids they are not welcome at this hotel. Today we got a call from the same person that checked us in asking us for the same credit card we used to check in with for incidentals wanting to know the card number this place does not have it together , unhelpful staff who only serve people who dont go through priceline, if u use priceline at the Comfort INN Brooklyn Center you are treated like a second class citizen....

“Non responsive to complaints”

I stayed at this location in Sept. 2009. The room was fine. The staff was fine at the time.

My issue was with the reservation. I booked this room after the cancellation deadline had expired. Somehow, I actually booked two rooms although I only wanted one. I was never asked when I checked in when the rest of may party would be arriving. I was never informed at checkout that they were billing me for another room. This surprise came when I got my credit card statement. I called the hotel and got the information. I asked that the manager call me to straighten this out. No call. I then called the corporate line and explained my issue. They gave me the managers email and name but said that there was nothing they could do as properties are independently owned. I sent an email-no response. I called 2 other times and left messages-no response. I did get a letter from Comfort Inns stating that they were sorry but there was nothing they could do.
I remember on this night that the hotel was almost empty -it is not as if they turned people away.
I am a Diamond Elite member with this chain. I stay over 40 nights per year. I would have thought I deserved the courtesy of a response from the hotel.
I made a mistake-I admit it. The hotel charged me for an additional room-that is their choice. I expected a response from the manager to my issue.

“Good Value, Good Location and full equipment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 July 2009

My wife and I stayed here for a Scientific Conference at the Convention Center 9 miles away. We drove to Minneapolis. The Conference Hotel was twice as expensive, while parking at the Convention Center was only $5.75/day. Parking at the Convention Hotel was about $22/day. Driving time, even at rush hour was only 15 minutes. The room had a working internet connection, an easy chair, a desk and chair, a microwave and a refrigerator. We had a king size bed. There was coffee in the room, a plus for me. Breakfast was sufficient for my wife and I, coffee, juice, eggs, waffles, cereal, breads and rolls and briskets and gravy. I am just a muffin person and lots of coffee. I stay at Comforts Inns when their reviews on this site appear adequate. We stayed here 6 nights and did some touring also.

“a bit good, a bit bad...”

The biggest disappointmt was that the Internet connection would not work. I do NOT hv a wireless computer - just plain internet. Their wireless connections did not work on my laptop. When I made the reservtn, I was told to ask for the "Internet bridge" for non-wireless computers. The ppl at the desk had no idea what I was talking abt. That was very frustrating. The room was clean, the beds were comfy and room was adequate, nothing special. But the tissue dispenser in the bthrm was empty. The brkfst was great when we were there. Absolutely no complaints abt that. Big selection from which to choose...and it was good. I loved the sausage gravy on the baking powder biscuit. If you'd like a larger brkfst or other meals, there's a great rstrnt, Barnacle Bill's, attached to the bowling alley next door. They serve brkfst, lunch and dinner. I didn't notice when they open. Also a 24 hr Denny's rstrnt abt two blks away - w/in walking distance if the weather is good. My little dog was accepted for an addn'l $10.00 and there were places right near the bldg to walk him. I always have at least one plastic bag tied to his lease for poop pkup. Not only did I pkup aft my dog - but also the poop from other dog owners who didn't take the responsibility to pkup after their own dogs. The price of the room for two was reasonable. They have no bellhop, but do have a large valet cart for taking your baggage to your room, but only one of those, so there may be waiting time for it, depending upon the # of ppl checking in/out. We were lucky and never had to wait for it. I'd stay there again - IF I had a wireless laptop.

  • Liked — Location was ideal for our purposes.
  • Disliked — No plain Internet connection - only wireless.
