I had booked 2 rooms because I am an Days inn employee in davenport, Iowa. So I got a good price. My aunt was getting married so we needed the rooms for twos nights, We had problems when we were on our way up so we were hopeing for an easy no hassle check in and a nice place top sleep. We didn't get that. On arrival my mom and I go in the check in, I have my voucher and everything. Then the guy at the check in desk says he hasn't been working here long and told us that we would need to vouchers, one for each room.
Ok, So after some arguing with the guy I call my manger in davenport and he talks to the guy. The guy at the desk finally agrees after almost an hour to use the same vouvher for both rooms until tommorrow when my manager can fax it.
On the way up, BEWARE OF THE ELEVATOR! The door will shut on you! My mom got the door shut on her and we had a 2 year old with us. NOT SAFE AT ALL! The rooms were suppose to be 2 queens. We got 2 doubles. You ever try to fit two people on a double? Not easy or comfortable. The room had no fridge or microwave to cook anything and we were on a tight budget so another inconvience.
The tv in my room was popping and sparking and the a/c unit in my cousins room didn't work and there was no breeze so it was hot in there.
The breakfast was your usual: waffle maker, cereal, bagels, toast, juice, milk.
So that was fine, nothing wrong there.
Well, I go to the front desk again 30 minutes before we have to leave for the wedding and the guy doesn't know what hes doing either or how to help. He just shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know how to help you."
Their fax didn't work so we had to send the voucher via email. They got it finally! So that was settled. But the whole time the manager was rude!
She kept saying that they only give 15% off employee rooms and only allow one room. Which is not true at any other Days inn.
This isn't even over with yet. The housekeepers stole! Luckily my room we left the do not disturb sign up so they didn't come in. But my cousins room they didn't and the housekeepers stole from his fiance. 1 pair of jeans and a couple for shirts.
Other then that the wedding was lovely and everything else went fine.
If I worked for this hotel I would be ashamed.
