This 'dump' is actually a dirty/smelly motel. It was a busy weekend in Brainerd with the National Hotrod Assoc. Drag race nationals at Brainerd International Raceway. I needed a room for one night. The only one left to rent within 15 miles of the track was at this disgusting 'hotel'. It was either stay here or sleep in the car. The internet photo of the entrance looked good, so I was looking forward to a nice restful night's sleep. The long hallways smelled musty. The room smelled worse. I placed my shoes on the desk because the carpet was so dirty. It was disgusting, but I was tired. Hoping the towels were 'clean', I placed one under my pillow and one on top to keep my face from contacting the pillow. Never, never will I stay there again. A garbage dumpster would be cleaner.

When other hotels are full, this not a bad plan B. It is usually available, apparently and is just fine. It won't excite you, but you get a clean, decent room at a decent price. Bed is a little firm and the ac a little loud, but you don't hear other rooms.

Even if your not staying at the newly remodeled hotel be sure to check out the Lakes Cafe located inside the Brainerd Hotel on Sixth Street. The new owners have made the hotel a classy, clean place to stay again with proceeds to benefit the brainerd area with jobs and resources to local non-profits!!

Stay at Brainerd Hotel and give back to the local community! Rooms are very clean and comfortable, I recommend this place to everyone. It may be a little out of the way, but the extra mile to get there is well worth it. The Food is excellent!!!

We just stayed for three nights in Brainerd here. We were very comfortable. They provided us with a portable crib for free. The only advice I could offer this place would be to keep the grounds maintained on the side of the building, as we did drive past the pool side to get to our room, and the windows could all use a good cleaning. The check in-out procedure was flawless, the house keeping was excellent. We kept our kids as quiet as we could out of respect for the other people and found them to be as courteous, with no loud noises throughout the night. It was a nice stay, and the price was right!
