There are many motels around the Minneapolis airport that provide sleep and fly programs. However, most of these program only allow you to leave your vehicle for 7 to 10 days. We were planning a 2 month trip and so these plans wouldn't work for us. We selected the Super 8 because it has 24 hour airport shuttle service (we flew out at 6 AM and will return at 11 PM) and that it is only a few minutes walk from Bloomington Self Storage where we could store our vehicle in a secure, monitored compound for 2 months. Our room at the motel was clean and neat. When we struggled down to the lobby at 3:45 AM to be ready for the 4:00 AM shuttle, there was fruit, coffee, juice and Danishes for us. We were well pleased.

I stay here rather frequently. I have found it is close to everything shopping from the Mall of America, IKEA, the Galleria and shops on France Avenue, the airport and a fairly straight-forward drive to the outlets at Albertville (within an hour) and the Shops at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove. Target and Walmart are close as are an insane variety of eating opportunities.

I reviewed a Super 8 in Montcello,Minnesota and I find it hard to believe this hotel is part of the same chain.The clerks at this one when we checked in were just standing around, but I still had to ask for service,no amenities were mentioned.The next morning we came down for breakfast at 9 and when we saw there was nothing but coffee,inquired,only to be told "breakfast is from 6:30 to 8:30"',no notices,not anywhere, I made a point of looking in the lobby and in our room.Hard bed,small pillows(just two) uncomfortable plastic chair,tiny bathroom.Just sad all the way.

We have stayed at this Super 8 Motel MANY times and enjoy the value. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, breakfasts are satisfying (love making those hot waffles!), free local newspapers, free shuttle to airport and Mall of America. There are other restaurants within walking distance - in nice weather. The Mall of America is less than a 5 minute drive. Motel is very secure - only the front door. Easy to find and access from the interstate. Ask for a room facing south - one avoids the freeway noise. There is a Park/Fly rate. Why pay a higher price for a room that you need just for sleep?
