We only stayed for one night. We are from out-state Minnesota and needed a place to stay before flying out the next morning and the Holiday Inn Express has a van that will take you to both the airport and the Mall of America (where we had supper). The Holiday Inn is very close to the Mall and you can walk it in nice weather and the airport is perhaps two or three miles away. As hotels go this one is typical of large chain places. There was a pool but it was closed for cleaning. It offered a hot breakfast and there was plenty to fill you up. The room was fine, beds comfortable, adequate bath room, and all was clean. The entire hotel seemed to be well kept up. Our problem was checking in. For some reason the woman who checked us in could not find our reservation. I had to spell my name twice after saying my name two times and finally I pulled out my reservation sheet I had printed from our computer. She looked at the confirmation info but still said that we did not have a reservation. After searching for a long time she finally found it but that was somewhat worrisome since she never said that she would take care of us but kept saying that we did have a reservation even after seeing our printout. Other staff members were friendly and competent.
