We stayed at The Hampton Inn Bloomington on 04/12/11 and were extremely satisfied. The hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is included. There is also a free shuttle ride available. The hotel is very inviting and we would stay there again.

When booking through my corporate travel agent, I requested the Hampton Minneapolis/St Paul airport (about 5 miles from here) but they for some reason booked me here instead.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inn's (including one last night about an hour from here) and have a certain expectation for the name. This hotel has the standard Hampton decor, but the rooms are small and the building is old. If I didn't know better, I'd think it's life was the 1980's era Hilton until they built a new Hilton across the road (quite recently, from the looks of things). I'm not tall, but these low ceilings (I'm 5'8" and can touch the ceiling in the bathroom and am within 6" in the main room) probably make the room seem much smaller than it actually is.

Never have I stayed in a Hampton inn WITHOUT a work desk. My room here has a square table with two wing chairs that are certainly not comfortable for working.

The last time I stayed near the MSP airport I stayed at Springhill Suites. Honestly, I wish I had stayed there instead. Much nicer (newer) building, closer to the airport, quiter (even with the close airport proximity), and less expensive.

I'm certainly disappointed by this Hampton, but even moreso by my travel agency for putting me here....

We stayed at this hotel b/c we have always had good luck with Hampton Inns. Well, this one is an old one (feels old, looks old, thin walls, etc). Don't expect the same quality if you've stayed at nicer Hampton Inns. The hotel is clearly old and the breakfast, which is usually fantastic, was horrific (reheated rubber eggs and pancakes). The bathroom was so-so, more of what you'd find in a cheaper hotel. The "fitness" room was a joke if you want anything other than a treadmill or elliptical. Oh, and if you stay on a weekend, don't expect a to-go breakfast to be available or a newspaper - you will be told you can go next door to Denny's to purchase a paper. Overall, this hotel is decent, but I'm guessing there are nicer ones around (since there are so many in this area) for much less that what we paid (watch out for price hikes during the week).

We had an excellent stay this time. Our room was on the 4th floor, west side of the hotel. Our 3yr old was able to watch airplanes taking off and coming in.
