“Substandard rooms, best deal for park n fly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

We chose to stay at this hotel, because they offered a good price on a Park n' Fly package. However, I don't think i'd stay here again. The rooms were not up to standards (mine aren't that high, and i am not picky, just ask for a simple and clean room). The rooms "felt" dirty. The walls seemed yellowed, the heavy drapery on the windows was dusty, the carpet needed a deep cleaning. I also didn't feel very safe. The door to the room wasn't very heavy, felt like someone could kick it in if they wanted to, a large gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. The door from the Hallway to the OUtside had cracked glass (like someone did try to kick it in) There was no place other than the general parking lot to park our vehicle (which was going to be there for 5 days). It wasn't gated or even under surveillance camera (at least none that i could see). We were assured by the front desk that they "patrolled" the parking lot periodically. I think i'd rather pay a little bit more and feel better about where i am staying.

“Also dumped by Delta Airlines”

One word; Nasty! I was sent to stay here after missing a connection with Delta and apparently this is the best they will afford for their customers...we must not mean that much to them. I'd like to see them put their staff up here. Let's just stay I was afraid to step barefoot on the carpet, I was afraid to use the shower, my only saving grace for sleep was the fact that I was exhausted. There were stains EVERYWHERE; on the mattress, on the sheets, on the furniture, in the shower...need I say more. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Not worth the free night on Delta.

“Decent decor but could use some attention to detail.”

Due to a flight delay Delta put me up in the Days Inn for the night. We called the hotel for a shuttle for those of us that needed to stay there. However, there were more of us than there was room on the shuttle and being that it was 1am we opted to take a cab. It cost about $35 from the airport.

Upon check-in the front desk clerk was friendly. He asked if I needed a shuttle back to the airport in the morning and also if I needed a wake up call.

The room was okay. It appeared to have been recently redecorated. The bed was fine and comfortable. The TV and air conditioning were in working order. There was a fridge and a safe in the room but I didn't use either of those. The bathroom could have used some attention though. There were some loose / missing ceramic tiles. If it weren't for the bathroom I would probably have rated this a 4*.

They offer a continental breakfast which had limited options like cold cereal, coffee, toast, etc. The eating area wasn't very large but I did find a place to sit.

The (free) shuttle promptly left when they said it would and was a much quicker drive to the airport than when the taxi brought me there the night before. The driver was very friendly and helpful.

“Great stay at Days Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2011

Many people would be scared of this property, but it has a lot of positive things! First of all, David, the manager, does an excellent job. I didn’t have any problem checking-in, and he made sure everything was meeting our needs. The hotel looks a little run-down, but the rooms were clean and comfortable. If you looked at the price, you probably noticed that you pay about half of what a hotel near the Mall of America or the Airport costs. There is a Chili’s restaurant next door, which was nice since we were there on a Sunday night where most things are not open. This hotel does have a free shuttle to the Mall of America and also the airport, but we did not use this since we were planning to go other places during our stay. The morning breakfast was excellent with an ample choice of muffins, waffles, juice, milk, and coffee. We would definitely return despite reading other reviews.

“Just because you put wings on a pig, it doesnt mean it will fly”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

I got stuck here because my flight was cancelled and Delta put me here for the night. (Gee thanks...) I still have no idea what Wyndham is trying to do with this brand, other than drag their name down.

This is an old property that has had some cheap updating (paint and carpet mostly). How this qualifies as an airport property is a mystery, the shuttle ride is 20 minutes. The shuttle was clean and well kept for its age and the driver was nice.
The front desk clerk treated me like an annoyance, likely because I was "on a voucher". The room was clean, Spartan and at some point was probably a nice room with vaulted ceilings. Now it's filled with cheap oak vainer furniture, an OK bed with hard, cheap pillows. Limited work space and a worn out chair rounded off the room. I didn’t rate this property lower, because in all honesty it was clean, which is very high on my list of "must haves".
It has in indoor pool, which I’m sure is a bonus in this price category.
I rate this property 60/100 and cannot give it a "value" rating because I didn’t pay for the room. Try the Super 8, in this price range it can't be much worse.
