Stay here twice a year during the Michigan Football weekends and the 4th of July. Located about 15min outside of Ann Arbor you can save yourself a fair amount by not staying outside of ann arbour. Avg nightly rate tends to be around $89USD/Night the rooms are nothing special your typical 2 double bed layout but if your not picky and just want a room to sleep in this hotel will do. The hotel has a large indoor pool that is nice and located right across the parking lot is a large lake (Whitmore Lake) you can rent motorized water boats canoes etc. Great shopping in the area as well.

I never had such bad experience in any other hotel.

My company booked 3 rooms for business trip, 2 rooms for 2 days and one for 1 day. Next day one of my colleague left, but I was unexpectedly surprised with information that hotel representative collect my belongings and gave my room to another customer. They inform me that I took room that was booked for 1 day. I have no clue about that my room was only for one day. That is ridiculous.

Booked hotel to use reward card from Best Western and to be closer to Detroit to go to baseball game the next day. We were very disappointed with stay and had stayed at many Best Western hotels before. The rooms are quite old looking and worn. First thing is our phone was not working properly and TV reception was terrible. The worst of it was the room below us. We were awaken around 2a.m. to hear loud voices, pounding on doors, running and vulgar language. The police were finally called in around 6a.m. I don't know why the people were not thrown out of hotel. Many construction and road workers staying there including people below us. You wouldn't think they would put a family right above this room. Will not stay in a Best Western again.

Best Western of Whitmore Lake is obviously an older hotel (1970s) right next to I-23. The owners have done some simple upgrades, such as replacing floor coverings, bathroom countertops, heating/cooling units. But the mattresses were hard and the freeway noise was still audible even with the fan turned on due to exterior corridors. I have a difficult time falling asleep as it is, and I think I'll go back to Courtyard by Marriott in Brighton next time and pay a little more money, but get some sleep.
