The inn is located in a cul-de-sac, along with a few chain hotels. Like some previous reviewers mentioned already, this inn gives you the motel feel, because the ground and second floors are accessible from outside, while the third floor has inside corridor. The room is below average size, and the bathroom is extremely tight spaced. If you are a person of large frame, then this non-typical Fairfield inn is NOT for you! However, contrary to some reviews, the WiFi works in my room.

We booked a room for Saturday night during the Labor Day weekend. After arriving around 5pm, we immediately headed for the outdoor swimming pool. The area was above 90 degrees all day. We went out for dinner at 7pm. An hour later DISASTER struck! A violent storm knocked out the power in the area. We drove back to the hotel to find only some emergency lights were on. The receptionist had a flashlight in hand, but was unable to provide extra ones to the guests. Fortunately we always have one in the car. Because having unpacked already, we decided to go straight to bed knowing that the room would have no A/C or ventilation. We were 99% sure the power would not be restored anytime soon. The only light source was our flashlight. Althought the temp was above 90 the whole day, it cooled off a bit after the storm. Thank God, we survived the night. At 8am, I went down to the office to see if a breakfast would still be served (as advertised). The receptionist said some danish and coffee would be served shortly. At 8:45am, we were ready to check out but still no breakfast! I thought the management would at least do something by buying cereals, fruit juices, muffins, donuts, etc. to make up for all its guests. After consulting with the receptionist, I was told to contact the hotel manager on Tuesday to discuss further. When I did just that, the hotel gladly refunded all our money! Indeed, a very classy act!

I am dissatisfied that the inn has no emergency procedure. It doesn't have a back-up generator, nor has enough flashlights for each guest room.

Overall, the hotel is well-maintained and staff is friendly. We would return next time while in the area. Hopefully, the stay will be an enjoyable one!

We booked our hotel on line with out reading the reviews. I was assuming that it was a clean hotel with it having the Fairfield Marriott name. Boy was I WRONG!!! We entered the room and it felt like you were in a "no tell motel". Yes it is dated but dirty!! I called the front desk to ask for 2 more bath towels. We had 3 people in our room with only 2 towels. She told me that we are only permitted to have 2 towels. I have never heard of any hotel policy like that. Around 4 in the morning there was a fight in front of our door. We called the front desk. As we picked up the phone there was a pubic hair on the hand set of the phone. Not sure that they ever came down because it continued for 30 more minutes. In the morning when we went to take our shower we noticed that there was mold all over the inside of the shower. We immediately checked!! Marriott really needs to remove their name from this hotel!!

I usually don't write reviews until something is really really good or worst. Unfortunatily, this one comes in worst catagory. I was on business trip to Warren MI from Canada for one night and have Fairfield booked through American Express. I got room in main floor and soon as I entered I feel some nasty smell may be it is coming from the damp carpet or from visibale stains on fabric covered chair. I called front desk and she said this is only room she has so I didn't have any choice. I thought ok lets call to my family to let them know that I reached here safely. Phone was not working so I called them from my cell phone ( international call with roaming charges ) . This place was advertised as with free wireless, so I took my iphone out to check internet, wifi not working .. it works outside of room but not from inside. This was limit of everything. I called my friend who live in Troy telling her that I am coming over to stay with her. Took my stuff and left.

Stayed here for 4 nights in May 2011. Very comfortable, clean, and well run hotel. Everything worked a clean spacious room at a very competative rate throw in a free breakfast and a computer just off the lobby with free internet connection what more can you hope for. Warren is a GM town with plenty of hotels for a city of this size. When in Detroit I feel alot of hotel deals can be found in Warren.
