Even though they advertise the hotel is smoke-free, we could definitely smell it in the hallways (it's a matter of enforcing the rules you set). Our original room wasn't even ready yet when we checked in so shows you lack of detail. Our new room wasn't bad, the only problem was there weren't enough outlets in the room to plug in the computer, so we ended up unplugging the coffee maker. The air conditioner fan has 2 modes, slow or fast. When it's on slow, the room gets cold fast and when it's not on at all, it's hot and stuffy.

You can barely hear the people in the hallways, so that's a good,if you like a peaceful sleep.

The hot water in the shower is either super hot or scalding hot! The hot water from the sink wasn't even hot at all. The room was relatively clean, and no funky smells. The scenery isn't the greatest, we got to stare at the next hotel and the parking lot. The neighbourhood seems safe and the staff there are helpful, and friendly.

The breakfast selection is pretty much the same across all Choice Hotels (make your own waffles, cereal, cold hard boiled eggs, toast, fatty pasteries), the only thing I didn't like was the hot water (I mean WARM water) for my tea.

There's a big Walmart down the street and you're close to the GM Technical Centre, some sit-down estaurants around the area, like Olive Garden, and fast food places like White Castle, Taco Bell.

If you're willing to slum it as the prices for a room are pretty cheap (we got a room for $50/night) it's worth it, just have low expections so you don't feel disappointed.

I had reserved a room with a rollaway bed. When we checked in, the hotel didn't even own a rollaway bed. Furthermore they said there was no room for it in the room so the kids had to sleep on the floor - GROSS! The hotel smelled of stale urine and DEFINITELY needs updating. The atmosphere is very dark and the entire hotel needs cleaning. The front desk person, Oraib, was extremely rude to us. The "hot breakfast" was promised at 7:00 but did not arrive until 7:25 to make it. Overall a terrible experience. This is one hotel to stay away from!! PLease don't waste your money. I did make a formal complaint and choicehotels.com told me they responded but I never received a response. I guess they lie to you also.

The staff was not friendly, I arived at the hotel on a Thursday and told the front desk that toilet was running all the time, The maint.man came up to fix the problem he broke the toilet seat and said he would be back and never came back I complained and all I got was the run around. We both could not take a shower unless it was 3 hours apart.. I WOULD NOT LET A PERSON I DID NOT LIKE STAY HERE MORELESS MY LOVED ONES THANK YOU

My husband did the best he could, but now I know why I always make travel arrangements. He wanted to take me away for the night and this was the only hotel he could find last minute that had a hot tub/jucuzzi. We paid $120 I believe. Check in was ok. Lobby looked a little outdated, but I made no quick judgements. We got into our room and it was horrible. First of all our room was located with the pool right outside our window. People were crazy loud and partying. The room was disgusting! The comforters were old. The sheets had stains. The wallpaper was coming off and there were little bugs all around the room. We left for me to collect my thoughts and went to TGIFS down the street. I came back refreshed after having a cocktail and decided to try to make the best of it as my husband tried his hardest to treat me to a night away. Once we got back he ran the water for the jacuzzi. I saw soapy film and the pipes were rusting. It literally made me feel like it was a hotel that should be charging per hour for prostitutes. I couldn't force myself to use the jacuzzi. Once my husband got out I started crying and just wanted to go home to a clean room. I called down to the desk whom refused to refund our money. So we checked out 2 hours after getting there (in that time we left and had dinner). Staff was rude and unaplogetic. I contacted headquarters whom just referred me back to the hotel's manager. I got a $25 voucher towards my next stay at that same hotel. Are you kidding me? If I was disgusted the first time why would I go back?
I am in no way a hotel snob. I stay at Holiday Inns, Comfort Inns, ets. I would never recommend this hotel even to my worst enemy!!!
