It smelled, the air unit was broken and was blowing out humid type air. The foset was broken in the bathroom so when you went to wash your hands the wated shot out in all different directions, the toilet paper dispencer was broken so when you pulled on the toilet paper the whole thing fell out. There was MOLD on the ceilings of the shower, the tub was disgusting.. I didn't expect the best, because it was a one night stay, I saw the pictures and thought it would be a nice place to say for a night, the pictures are NOTHING like what the hotel/pool looks like. It's a shame how these people kept this hotel.. I wanted and almost did leave in the middle of the night because the smell of the pillows and everything else was so unbareable! My son has asthma so it was hard for him to breath in this room! I had to create an account on yellow pages for this reason. DISGUSTING

Even though they advertise the hotel is smoke-free, we could definitely smell it in the hallways (it's a matter of enforcing the rules you set). Our original room wasn't even ready yet when we checked in so shows you lack of detail. Our new room wasn't bad, the only problem was there weren't enough outlets in the room to plug in the computer, so we ended up unplugging the coffee maker. The air conditioner fan has 2 modes, slow or fast. When it's on slow, the room gets cold fast and when it's not on at all, it's hot and stuffy.

You can barely hear the people in the hallways, so that's a good,if you like a peaceful sleep.

The hot water in the shower is either super hot or scalding hot! The hot water from the sink wasn't even hot at all. The room was relatively clean, and no funky smells. The scenery isn't the greatest, we got to stare at the next hotel and the parking lot. The neighbourhood seems safe and the staff there are helpful, and friendly.

The breakfast selection is pretty much the same across all Choice Hotels (make your own waffles, cereal, cold hard boiled eggs, toast, fatty pasteries), the only thing I didn't like was the hot water (I mean WARM water) for my tea.

There's a big Walmart down the street and you're close to the GM Technical Centre, some sit-down estaurants around the area, like Olive Garden, and fast food places like White Castle, Taco Bell.

If you're willing to slum it as the prices for a room are pretty cheap (we got a room for $50/night) it's worth it, just have low expections so you don't feel disappointed.

I had reserved a room with a rollaway bed. When we checked in, the hotel didn't even own a rollaway bed. Furthermore they said there was no room for it in the room so the kids had to sleep on the floor - GROSS! The hotel smelled of stale urine and DEFINITELY needs updating. The atmosphere is very dark and the entire hotel needs cleaning. The front desk person, Oraib, was extremely rude to us. The "hot breakfast" was promised at 7:00 but did not arrive until 7:25 to make it. Overall a terrible experience. This is one hotel to stay away from!! PLease don't waste your money. I did make a formal complaint and choicehotels.com told me they responded but I never received a response. I guess they lie to you also.
