I was a part of a large group. This hotel was recommended by our group organizer due to price. After I read the reviews, all of which were dated 2007 and prior, I was apprehensive. I had spoken with the assistant manager and had exchanged emails for planning, and he gave the utmost impression of excellence. The hotel manager was super attentive and courteous. He overheard our conversation about our departure time for a conference we were attending, and called in his breakfast staff one hour earlier than scheduled to accommodate us! He even wrote a follow up email to ask how our stay was, and if there were any less than favorable reports from any of our group. AMAZING! The hotel is a bit older, but was very clean and the rooms bedding and decor current, the lobby small, the breakfast area smaller, outfitted with a toaster for waffles as opposed to the more common waffle makers. However, I would not hold any of that against the hotel. The hotel has obviously been receiving much more attention than any reviews I had read from years ago! I am assuming it is under new management who is striving for excellence and deserves a chance and some updated reviews! I hope the very best for this hotel! I was most impressed with the customer service from the morning staff as well, and I could go on and on about the detail to service that we received! Lot's of restaurants nearby too!
