This is a great hotel. It is situated close to downtown and has plenty of activities to offer. They have a nightclub, sports bar, pool, spa, room service and free casino shuttles. My room was nice on the 4th floor with a good view of the Grand Traverse Bay.

Not typically a Holiday Inn customer, but the price was right and the location perfect for my plans. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The room was exceptionally clean...which is more important than location for me.

We spent a weekend in Traverse City to visit some of the local attractions and had a wonderful time. The hotel was nothing to write home about but did the job. There were several dining options in the hotel and endless options within a short walk or drive into downtown. Hotel was right on the bay and I'm sure the view would be absolutely stunning in the summertime or fall.

This Holiday Inn has a good location and close to many shopping options downtown (it is walkable, there is one difficult street to cross, but not a problem after that -- maybe 5 blocks?). Plus, its on the bay so you can go on the sandy beach area and swim if you happen to visit in the summer months when the water is warm enough.

The hotel itself as a restaurant/lounge on the main floor, but its pretty average compared to other hotels and other Holiday Inn hotels. Its older, but it was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly. Due to the location, we'd probably return in the future.
