We recently stayed at Days Inn. We have stayed at the other area bargain lodging choices but Days Inn ranks as the best. The room was spacious & clean. The indoor pool was very large & warm. The continental breakfast was basic but good. We will definitely stay there again.

While making my reservation the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, helping me to pick the best room for the group of my 7 friends that would be staying with them. But at check-in the woman that assisted me was not very pleasant - she said that although I had booked two rooms under my name I would have to put a different name down for the second room, which also screwed up the payment, when we had already worked it out amongst our group.

Our rooms were great, disappointing that they didn't connect but we managed. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms extremely spacious. Huge bonus was that there were lots of mirrors about the rooms, so we were able to get ready quicker in the morning. The flat screen tvs were great, but we later discovered that one of them, a bulb was out throwing off the picture. We also found a band-aid in the room that the maids must have missed - yuck! And a stink bug made an appearance as we were going to bed - yuck AGAIN.

But the worst point of the trip came from 7-11pm. First, a group of teen girls was loitering in the hallway being extremely loud. I called the front desk asking them to take care of things, and they did nothing. Then, a larger group of younger boys, we later discovered it was a youth hockey league CONTINUALLY ran up and down our hallway knocking on doors, testing door knobs to see if they could get in, screaming and jumping around. Again, I called the front desk and this time I actually saw a staffer walking the hallways but again it did nothing - the boys continued until 10:30pm when the hotel enforces a curfew for all minors.

Continental breakfast in the morning was great, with an array of healthy and delicious foods! Although we ran into the boys hockey team again while trying to enjoy ourselves and wake up :/

At check-out I voiced my disappointment in the hotel's inability to control the minors who's parents don't seem to care to supervise them and thankfully the hotel comped us $40/room which I appreciated, but still wasn't able to make our Saturday night any better.

We had a queen suite for 4 for adults. The room was beautiful with a separate bedroom with a jacuzzi and fireplace. In the living room was a pull down queen Murphy bed and a couch.
We were there to spend time with my terminally ill mother and needed a quiet place to rest and sleep from an emotionally exhausting weekend. That did not happen as there was a screaming child that sounded like it was right next door. In fact it sounded like the kid was right in the room with us! This child started screaming and yelling at 6:00am which woke us all up. On top of that, there was a boys hockey team staying at the hotel that got up early and were going from room to room making so much noise that none of us got any sleep. The hotel rooms are beautiful but beware that it is not sou proof at all!

My Husband and I wanted to head up to Traverse City for the Weekend, and we were looking for somewhere cheap, yet nice to stay. We were a little cautious when choosing a Days Inn, because it doesn't exactly look quite as nice as the surrounding hotels. However, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean, and it was a decent size as well. Also, one thing I liked was that the hotels rooms exited into a hallway, opposed to exiting directly outside. The hotel had a VERY nice pool, and an equally nice Hot Tub. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because when we got into the room it was rather cold, and took quite a while to heat up, but come on, if that was the only problem, then there's not much to complain about. It was in a nice location, about 5 miniutes from Down Town, and about 15 minutes from Turtle Creek casino. So all in all, it was a great stay, we would definitely go again!
