“Loved Every Minute of Our 3 Day Winter Escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

We were absolutely blown away by everything, not expecting a lot from a Midwest Ski Destination. From the moment we arrived the staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. We were traveling with a seven year old and the front office agent helped us plan activities for her - board games, movies rentals, scavenger hunts, ski lessons...
We stayed in a one bedroom condo which was more spacious than expected with fully equipped kitchen and close to everything - ski slopes, restaurants, spa, ice skating rink.
There were a few dining options - all offered reasonable prices and excellent quality. Our absolute favorite was a Scottish themed restaurant The Thistle - we were blown away by the staff - so friendly, helpful and kind. You should definitely stop for an afternoon cocktail by the fireplace or try this amazing appetizer - the hot rock! And kids meal for only $5...
The resort is a great ski destination for beginners to intermediate skiers, lots of runs and amazing night skiing!
We loved our winter getaway so much, that we are already planning our next trip!
Thank you Crystal Mountain Resort staff for a great unforgettable mini vacation!

Awesome place to stay. We stayed in the cabins at the bottom of the mountain. Beds were great, cabin was awesome, location was fabulous. Very clean! Spa is amazing too.

We had a great time at Crystal Mountain. Went for a conference (they had very nice conference facilities) and stayed at Wintergreen two-bedroom apt with a jacuzzi even! We had a full kitchen and took lots of easy to prepare food and cooked at the apt. The staff at the ski slopes was fantastic (except the bar where they were OK maybe good but not fantastic like the rest of the place but to give them the benefit of the doubt they were really busy). The staff in the ski rental area were the best; they really took care of you. The variety of slopes was perfect and appealed to most skill levels. We are beginners (perhaps closer to intermediate) and had a great time. The rental skis/boots were very good quality. Also, I complained about a light switch in the apt and the repairman came in literally 2 mins (he must've been in the area). For sure we plan on going back.

“Three days of Ski Fun.........”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We took a group of 13 to Crystal Mountain and stayed in one of the Mountainside Townhouses for 3 days and 2 nights. We were blown away with how spacious everything was and how the entire resort was laid out. The skiing was really good for the beginner'ish level of most of the group and there was enough to keep everyone engaged. If you want immediate access to all the amenities, try to stay closer to the lodge and spa. Everything is a quick walk from down at the bottom. The pricing for food, spa, lift tickets and rental was very reasonable.

There was a tremendous value of arriving on Sunday and getting the lower rates. Traveling from Indy, the drive was only about 6 hours and makes it very manageable for a weekend get-a-way in the future.

I highly recommend the resort for couples, groups and families.

Room Tip: Mountainside and Mountain Top rooms are a drive down to the lodge, spa and food areas.

“Exceeded expectations...as always!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

I took my teenage son and one of his buddies here for a ski race camp. The experience, as always, exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Colony with a kitchenette, as feeding two teenage boys can be expensive. I did not ski, but found plenty to do while the boys did. Crystal is very green, with recycling everywhere, even in the units. The hot chocolate even comes in real mugs! I was moving between the parking lot and our unit when I dropped something. One CM employee came sprinting across the parking lot to help me, while another stopped his vacuum and came outside to help me, even carrying my stuff up the stairs to our unit. The staff here is just amazing. We could stay elsewhere for less money, but why? Everything is here and the customer service is just top drawer!
