This was a great place to stay. Close to 696 & 10 (Lodge) & M39 (Southfield) freeways. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The sheets and bedspread are some sort of special siganture set so they were nice. Quiet. Surrounding neighborhood is OK. I am from this area and was visiting family so I know the area well. To an outsider, the area may seem a bit more sketchy than it actually is. It is in a corporate park area so the hotel is tucked away by the business buildings. One thing to note: because it is a suite, you do not get daily maid service. But you can exchange towels at the front desk. I personally liked the fact no one was in the room when I was gone but I know others like sheets/towels changed daily. If you are looking for clean, comfortable and affordable...this is the place for you.

The property is quiet and in a central location. Several problems with the room: the shower curtain was missing and we couldn't shower until one was located - and then we were told we had to go pick it up at the front desk! We requested a smoking room and had a guaranteed reservation but on arrival we were told there were no Smoking rooms left. We were told to go ahead and smoke in a Non-Smoking room! The worst part: at check-in, the clerk told us he could not print out anything that showed the room rate but he said that we'd be given the rate quoted over the phone. Yet when we went to check-out, we were charged a rate $30/night more than what was quoted. This clerk - "Mark," a different person from when we checked in - was shockingly rude: sneared at us, was openly sarcastic, accused us of lying about the rate we were quoted, refused to give his last name. To make matters worse, when the credit card bill arrived, we were charged twice for this stay. I would not return.

My mother, sister, nephrew and myself stayed at this hotel in June of 2006 for three nights. We had the one bedroom suite with a pull out sofa and full kitchen. It was definitely clean, quite and peaceful. The check-in and out process was good. The staff were helpful and professional. I would definitely stay here again! It was also easy to get to as it is just off one of the main highways. As a result, I was able to get to wherever we were going easily and effortlessly. Two of the sites we visited while there was the Detroit Zoo which my nephrew did enjoy. We had a good time. However, visiting the Motown Museum was the highlight of the trip, make sure you visit the museum! The tour was so educational and it gave me the chills being in the same place as legends once recorded and stood! We also went to the Taste Festival in Downtown Detroit. So much food and entertainment! It was cute!

The hotel is only 5 years old and in great condition. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. Also, conveniently located by the highway. Nearby corporate office buildings so the immediate area felt safe. I would stay there again.
