We brought a youth hockey team to a tournament in the area and the entire team stayed at this hotel. The staff was without exception very accommodating and friendly. The lobby area was a nice gathering place for the team. Kids loved the pool. The breakfast was excellent and ample. The front desk also provided the kids with snacks whenever they asked. They loved it. Once again, the staff went above and beyond in the service department. The room was clean but a little worn. The shower has seen better days. Bed was very nice.

Do not stay here, our room was very dirty. One bed had blood on the sheets (fresh bright red) and the other bed had a lot of hair on the sheets. The bathroom shower had lukerwarm shower water, that was more towards the cold side. My parents room was the same with the addition of bed bugs. The rooms need updated, cleaned, and bug bombed. Keep driving and find someplace else.

We have stayed here many times over the past several years, but it seems to have declined in the past year. The breakfast is still free, but the quality of some items has declined and there are fewer choices. The rooms are old and need refreshing. The cleaning is OK but not as spotless as it used to be. Another sign - there used to be a big bowl of free apples in the lobby, day and night; now they're gone. A manager told us there was no ownership, which might explain things. We're beginning to branch out and try other hotels in the area.
Still has free wireless internet in all the rooms, which is good to see.

In contrast to the bad experience we just had at the Holiday Inn in Gatineau, Quebec, we were delighted to arrive at this Hampton Inn. The staff here exemplifies service, and their friendly, willing attitudes reflect people who seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. The pool here was above and beyond most motels in its quality. And here's a surprise lagniappe: rather than putting out the traditional warm cookies, a staff member brings a cart every evening to every room. The guests then choose a beverage and a snack from the cart. Great location--great service--great amenities. Thank you, Hilton/Hampton Inns!
