I stayed here for the Basset Hound Dog Show...From the moment I checked in I was very impressed with the service and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. The service was exceptional and I really enjoyed all of the amenities that the hotel had to offer. When you travel to Michigan, this is where you'll want to stay, Trust me!!

This was my best stay at this hotel for this year and thank goodness they got rid of the Holiday Inn franchise because the new managment now is literally over hauling everything and bringing much needed style and it will be beautiful when it is done!

I cannot wait too see the new and improved version in six months

We stayed at this hotel with our sons high school lacrosse team.

Almost every player and parent had a problem with their room.(smelly, dirty, damp rooms various odd items left behind by previous travellers..)

The hotel is in desperate need of an overhaul(and cleaning) and HAS NOT been renovated as is stated on their website.


The only thing that redeemed this hotel is the low rate we received as we were part of a group. Honestly, though I have stayed in low-budget motels(micro-tel etc) that look like a 4 star resort compared to this place

This is a former Holiday Inn property that has lost it's franchise yet try to fool you by choosing the Holiday "Resort" name for their property. Trust me, this place is no resort. The lobby area is quite nice and inviting, much as it was during this properties Holiday Inn days. The lobby is where the modern, clean feel ends. The rooms and facilities in this place are terrible. The elevators seemed to be constantly breaking down. The pool area didn't appear to be clean enough to use. The room was totally the pits. Old, ugly carpeting, uncomfortable mattress and i wouldn't even think about using that filthy, stained chair. The TV was small and probably from the 80's (i half expected to see an episode of Dallas when i turned it on). The bathroom was well worn and desperate for an update. This property appears to be struggling for business since losing their brand affiliation. They are now advertising on their outside sign "Weekly Rates Available" which is never a good sign. I am originally from this area and remember when this hotel was clean and contemporary but sadly has fallen into a state of disrepair.
