“The Honeymoon of our dreams!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2010

My husband and I spent a week at this B&B for our honeymoon and everything was literally perfect! The house was even cuter than the pictures and Lou and Ginger were amazing and the perfect hosts. We stayed in the Manchester Suite in the house and our room was very pretty (as were all of the other ones I peaked into when the doors were open!) There were rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed when we came in which was a nice touch. The bathroom had plenty of space and there was a whirlpool tub (though it was only big enough for 1...) the view from the veranda directly off of our room was beautiful as was all of the grounds. We enjoyed reading on the white wicker furniture on the front porch, on our private patio and also in hammocks in the yard :) They had two cute little pet ducks that roamed the property and in the foyer there was a cabinet full of movies and music to borrow and take up to your room. Every morning we were served a fancy and delicious 4 course breakfast which was always plenty of food for us both to the point where we never even ate lunch! We would help ourselved to the snack buffet that was set out around 3pm with fresh baked goods, cherry/lemonaide ect to tide us over until dinner. Every bite we ate here was absolutely scrumptious! One evening Ginger packed us a picnic basket that we took to the beach to watch the sunset...plenty of food and all home made and delicious! We were only a 7 minute drive from downtown south haven so it was easy to go there whenever we wanted for the beach or dinner or shops. We brought bikes and spent a day on the Kal-Haven trail which was beautiful and just minutes away! I could not give a better reccomendation for this B&B. Every minute was perfect and we will definitly be coming back soon!

“The best breakfast and hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

Beautiful house and lovely grounds. Very relaxing. One of the best breakfasts we had at a B&B. Inn keepers very nice. Just a few minutes from town.

“Surprised”

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast so we were really excited. We got a room in the guesthouse because I wanted the big tub with jets and expected to have our own private porch. First problem we had was with the breakfast served in styrafoam containers in the wicker basket that was delivered to our room. This was NOT 4 courses... There were three items and orange juice... We're still confused what's considered a course here. There were spiders and bugs in the room and it was extremely humid inside. We understand that the rooms are old but still very humid and difficult to sleep in. The last thing that we found strange was that we never met Ginger or Lou, actually we might have but they didn't introduce themselves or seem interested in how our stay was at all upon turning the key in. We expected friendlier people to work there.

“Four Course Breakfast and A Duck Walk”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2009

My husband and I have been traveling to celebrate our anniversary each year and we decided to shake it up a little and try a couple of B&B's rather than hotels this year. When we arrived at Martha's Vineyard, it was like arriving at the home of family. Ginger made us feel instantly welcome! We thoroughly enjoyed leisurely conversation with Ginger and the other guests while savoring a 4-course FABULOUS breakfast each morning. (You won't need lunch!!) The grounds are beautiful and there are two garden ducks you won't want to miss. They actually took a walk with me to the vineyard one morning chattering away to me all the way right on my heels. If you are headed for the South Haven area, this is where you want to be!!

“FANTASTIC!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2009

I booked this entire main house, and a couple of additional rooms in the outlying guesthouses, for my family reunion during this years' South Haven Blueberry Festival, in August 2009. Ginger and Lou (the owners) were great! They took care of each of my family members' need and wants. We had gourmet meals each morning and relaxed with all the comforts of home (and none of the work!). This place is lovely, set on several acres of beautiful gardens with a pond, backed by a golf course peppered with pear trees. The rooms are beautifully furnished and kept. We spent hours on the veranda visiting and evenings we spent in the parlor, building puzzles and listening to my aunt read the Bobsey Twins books my mom and her sisters grew up with... It was an ideal vacation, perfect location, caring and attentive owners and a joy. I couldn't have chosen a better location. This place is a slice of heaven for those who enter. THANK YOU Ginger & Lou.
