“Perfect little getaway!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

My husband and I were very pleased with the Rabbit Run. We spent our one year anniversary weekend there in July and had so much fun. The rooms are gorgeous! When my husband said we were going to a B&B I cringed and thought about a dirty house in the woods with granny print drapes...but no! Rabbit Run is modern and lovely! Super clean and comfy. They had bikes to use for free and helmets too:) We rode bikes to Warren Dunes beach with the map they gave us. We also took advantage of Cherry Beach with their pass which was beautiful and much less crowded. They had so much information for us to use and they left a little note and wine for our anniversary.
You should also definitely take advantage of the wineries and Soe Cafe closeby, it was delicious!

the rooms are beautiful and very clean... with comfy beds and a nice wet bar.

however, we did not feel at all like "guests". even the dingiest motel will offer bottled water (considering the green initiatives, i would have been pleased with purified water in the mini-fridge), whereas RRI had nothing in the fridge except some cream for the coffee and a small nalgene bottle of orange juice. where is the fresh fruit, where is the fresh squeezed orange juice in a nice glass pitcher, where are the fresh flowers on the bedside table??? this inn was missing all of the special (small) touches that guests desire.

we were greeted with absolutely nothing. no wine, cheese, fruit - as the other people have mentioned... assuming this is because we only stayed one night. but considering the $250 price tag, i figured there had to be some indulgence included.

i awoke in the morning, ready for my great breakfast... i opened the door expecting a cute serving tray with local pastries, fresh fruit, orange juice, and a single flower. but instead found two tupperware containers with a muffin inside each. (i wish i was joking, but that is exactly what was happened). unfortunately, that is not considered breakfast for two full-grown adults... so after spending the $250 on the room, we again had to head up the road to pay $30 for a real meal.

too bad because i had really high hopes for this inn. please start treating your company as true "guests" and not just an afterthought. i certainly will not be back and would never recommend this place to a friend.

We are concerned that Rabbit Run Inn did not meet the expectations of these guests.
It is always our top priority to make our guests comfortable and to ensure that their stay with us is memorable. We regret that we did not know of their concerns while they were staying at the inn.

Bottled water is not placed in the rooms since we found out that most water bottles, even when recycled, are never remanufactured. Our local tap water is quite safe and meets Michigan’s water standards. Our guests’ morning orange juice is served in washable containers for the same reason. These are only a few of our environmental initiatives. As we are a green lodging, we are very sensitive to reducing our carbon footprint and every year are adding to our initiatives.

The local wine, cheese and fruit basket is offered for a stay of two nights or more and our breakfast is continental. We apologize to our guests, who stayed one night, that this was not clear to them on our website and when they reserved their room.

“Luxury in the woods.”

The place really is charming with four rooms available for stays that are spacious and very comfortable. A queen sized bed covered in soft feather bedding just begs to be jumped on. A kitchenette provides a small fridge just right for keeping snacks and ‘adult’ beverages in. It is also stocked with milk, juice and butter for the pastries that are left by the door for breakfast every morning. There is lots of attention to detail, even down to the coffee maker that gives you options of filter coffee or espresso, and bikes for taking a leisurely meander to the lake and past all the adorable cottages. We particularly enjoyed the corner sofa for lounging and enjoying a glass of wine and some cheese and nibbles collected from the day’s adventures to farm stands and local gourmet stores ……

Room Tip: Upper floors for the private deck

“Lovely, peaceful, comfortable”

My husband and I just got back from an anniversary weekend at RRI (the second time we have stayed at the property), and it was absolutely wonderful. Linda Jo and Rodney do a great job of making guests feel welcome, as well as providing information regarding local restaurants, activities, etc.

I cannot say enough about the the rooms. The rooms are comfortable, gorgeous, and nicely designed. There was also a cute little porch out back so we could read by the pond. I am in absolute love with their bed. It is better than any W or Westin bed that I have ever slept in...could not wait to get in it, and did not want to get out of it!!!

I appreciate that they stock the fridge with snacks and wine...very helpful for a hungry traveler. They also leave delicious baked goods outside your door in the morning, which go great with the fresh-squeezed OJ! While the muffins were good this trip, we did miss the scones from last time.

RRI is in a great location, as well, as it is close to wine country, the beach, and a number of other little harbor towns- the perfect location!

This is a great place to stay!!! My husband and i went on a weekend getaway for his birthday. We stayed in the seagrass room and loved the trendy decor and private balcony overlooking a cute little pond. Linda and Rodney are so welcoming and helpful and thet make sure to add the little touches like fresh baked goods at your door every morning, fresh cherries an local wine and cheese. We were close to all the wineries and the beaches!! Definitely recommend staying here and can't wait to come back!!
