“Luxury in the woods.”

The place really is charming with four rooms available for stays that are spacious and very comfortable. A queen sized bed covered in soft feather bedding just begs to be jumped on. A kitchenette provides a small fridge just right for keeping snacks and ‘adult’ beverages in. It is also stocked with milk, juice and butter for the pastries that are left by the door for breakfast every morning. There is lots of attention to detail, even down to the coffee maker that gives you options of filter coffee or espresso, and bikes for taking a leisurely meander to the lake and past all the adorable cottages. We particularly enjoyed the corner sofa for lounging and enjoying a glass of wine and some cheese and nibbles collected from the day’s adventures to farm stands and local gourmet stores ……

Room Tip: Upper floors for the private deck

“Lovely, peaceful, comfortable”

My husband and I just got back from an anniversary weekend at RRI (the second time we have stayed at the property), and it was absolutely wonderful. Linda Jo and Rodney do a great job of making guests feel welcome, as well as providing information regarding local restaurants, activities, etc.

I cannot say enough about the the rooms. The rooms are comfortable, gorgeous, and nicely designed. There was also a cute little porch out back so we could read by the pond. I am in absolute love with their bed. It is better than any W or Westin bed that I have ever slept in...could not wait to get in it, and did not want to get out of it!!!

I appreciate that they stock the fridge with snacks and wine...very helpful for a hungry traveler. They also leave delicious baked goods outside your door in the morning, which go great with the fresh-squeezed OJ! While the muffins were good this trip, we did miss the scones from last time.

RRI is in a great location, as well, as it is close to wine country, the beach, and a number of other little harbor towns- the perfect location!

This is a great place to stay!!! My husband and i went on a weekend getaway for his birthday. We stayed in the seagrass room and loved the trendy decor and private balcony overlooking a cute little pond. Linda and Rodney are so welcoming and helpful and thet make sure to add the little touches like fresh baked goods at your door every morning, fresh cherries an local wine and cheese. We were close to all the wineries and the beaches!! Definitely recommend staying here and can't wait to come back!!

“Serene spot------planning our next stay!”

My husband and I visited in late June. We stayed for 5 nights and loved every minute of it! The rabbit, (as we affectionately call it) is situated just far enough off of a main hwy. with tons of trees and foliage, so we still felt secluded. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and we rested quite nicely. On most days we visited the lakefront beach, just 2 minutes away! Great stay!

“B and B with only one B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

We stayed 3 nights at this B and B with family. The owners obviously had spent a lot of time and money in decorating this hotel. However it did not have any coziness to it . The owners acted as if they wanted as little contact with guests as possible. The "breakfast" consisted of a muffin dropped off at the front door in the morning. There was OJ in the room fridge and you can make your own coffee. You can eat in your room or outside, weather permitting. I was hoping for a cozy place to have breakfast or chill with a glass of wine before dinner.

If you want a nice motel this is the place. If you want a B and B, stay away.

The headline of this review implies that we do not provide breakfast. This is not true. We explain to our guests in all of our phone contacts and during the room orientation that we provide a continental breakfast, which we bring to the room, and also provide in each room’s refrigerator. The review also alludes to the absence of a “wine hour” as some b and b’s provide. We provide all guests who stay two nights, a complimentary wine, cheese and fruit basket.

We understand that many of our guests prefer their privacy which we acknowledge by keeping a low profile during their stay. To facilitate our guests' stay we provide a schedule of events in neighboring villages and towns, local movie house and theater performance schedules and information on beach and vineyard activities.

For all our guests we always have an open door policy of access to the Inn welcome room, the grounds, as well as to additional services which we provide on an as needed basis.

In all our literature, on our web site and during phone contact with prospective guests, we describe Rabbit Run Inn as an Inn and not as a bed and breakfast, so that we are very clear about guests’ expectations when they arrive and stay at Rabbit Run Inn.
