The front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating. They did everything possible to make our stay fun. They allowed the kids to have fun and opened the breakfast room for us for supper so that we could enjoy pizza while kids played. We had four little ones under the age of 6 so one of the main things we expected was an indoor pool. When we got there there was a sign on the door that it was temporarily closed for maintenance. When we checked in at the front desk about when it would reopen they said not that night but they would check to see if it would be opened the next day. Each staff member had a different answer to the pool problems and a couple of the staff did not know why it was closed. One even told us he would open it for us. We spent 2 nights and three day and the pool never did open. They did arrange for us to go to the Park Inn and swim in their pool, which we did. They were extremely friendly even though we did not book our rooms with them. I just wish they would have told us upfront that the pool was out of order and was going to remain that way for our entire stay. We would have likely moved on. This is likely why they did not say anything. When a motel is advertised with indoor pool, it should have a working indoor pool. We are now finding that the pool is an ongoing problem with this motel. Also the continental breakfast was poor.

Nice and clean but do NOT expect great customer service. The front person when I checked in was the operation manager and he didnt even greet me he assumed I was someone named Tasha? And then proceeded to tell my boyfriend he was "so weird" and "god that's stupid" after my boyfriend told him he was from around the area. He proceeded to tell me I was stupid for booking a room online when I live only 3 hours away. He swore as well. Swearing in my bOok is fine but when it is about other guests staying there it's wrong on so many levels. They need new management!!!

Looking for a place to stay in Sault Sainte Marie? We found a great one at the Soo Locks Lodge. Not only was it appealing on the outside, but it had a nice entry area inside. The staff was terrific and provided maps of the area. The room was big and clean, but the best part was ---
the pillows!! Like big clouds to curl up with.

We booked on hotels.com, beds were very comfy place was clean and no harassing phone calls on Sunday morning even when we slept past checkout.
