We stayed at the Crestview, not knowing what all was available in the area. BIG MISTAKE! The wall air conditioner was so noisy that we had to shut it off and open the door and window. Then we had lights shining in our eyes from the traffic, noise from people walking by, etc. We had a miserable night, barely slept. My husband went over to get this "breakfast" promised to us and found it was nothing more that a small, dry muffin and some juice. We ended up going to McDonalds for breakfast, spending money we thought we would save on breakfast. The bathroom was so small, there wasn't even room to put our toiletries on the sink and no place lay our clothing in the bathroom to dress. There wasn't even a lid on the toilet! Upon leaving, I pulled back the sheets to make sure we hadn't forgotten anything and found a large, smashed flat, dried up worm on the sheets. I about lost my breakfast! I wonder when the sheets were changed last? The front desk was not helpful about things to do or see in the area nor did we even found brochures in the front office. We almost left and drove the five hours home to Wisconsin since we didn't see anything fun to do in the area. We decided to go down the road and check out the Quality Inn instead. What a difference, friendly helpful staff, a clean quiet comfortable room, a spacious bathroom and a wonderful, full breakfast. Also a swimming pool and hot tub. Amazing the difference between the two places and what was most amazing was that they were the same price!
I emailed the Crestview after we got back from our trip and expected some sort of an offer for a refund but got nothing but a curt response that they were sorry we were disappointed with our stay at the Crestview. A lot of good that did! If you are looking for a nice place to stay, skip the Crestview!
