We chose this property b/c they allowed pets. It has a nice area to walk your dog. We rented the two bedroom suite. It was fine overall but it just seemed expensive for the value we received. They are under new management and it felt like they were still in the process of getting things going. Bed quality/comfort was on the lower side. It wobbled everytime you moved or turned over. The town of Saugatuck and surrounding beaches are wonderful and a great place to visit!

We did not have a bad experience. We traveled at the last minute and everywhere else was booked. The weather was good and the staff was ok. Just too expensive.

Our experience was horrible. Have called Michigan Vacation rentals several times to speak to the manager and he has yet to return my call, always "in a meeting." Bath floor dirty in corners & behind pedistal sink, BR carpet filthy,ants in bath, finish chipped in tub, blinds did not extend to bottom of BR window, very basic cable, no balcony,paint chipped on BR door & frame, closet wall was dirty,could see lite around widow AC, int. wall paneling warped around window,no lamps, bed was nearly width of bedroom. Basically an old motel with a wall knocked out to make a "suite". Quality is far below what you would expect at this price, plus not clean. Only 3 units occupied the one nite we were there.

I went up to Saugatuck for my first mommy trip away, and when I got to this what was promised to be a relaxing place of beauty I was horrified at what I saw. First I got a single studio room that was right off the parking lot with a very small window, broken bed, out dated dirty kitchen, pedestal sinks in the main area, and the toilet/shower area not even big enough for me to breath in. TV was wired with visible cords and mounted on top of the refrigerator... all this for $200 a night. I made them move me to a room that was a little bigger, and yes it was, but still just as crappy. Water stains on the ceilings, flies all over the place, non-functional kitchen...the list goes on. I realized very quickly that there was no emergency phones anywhere and my cell was dying. I had a car charger, but no way to charge it indoors..since I was alone this made me feel very uncomfortable, especially when people were trying to get into my room several times in the evening. When I called to inform them of not having any phones they in no way cared and told me to charge mine. Then in the middle of the night, more leaking, more flies, a/c not working, ceiling fan that made a horrible roar. So much for my relaxing get away. I called the manager of the rental place, who is all but 20 years old and she said I should have called in the middle of the night to get these problems fixed.......REALLY.....WHAT PART OF HAVING NO PHONE DID SHE NOT UNDERSTAND!!! When asked for a refund for the night I stayed and the next night, she said she would have to talk to the owner. Well, after finding out who he is and hearing all the horrible things about him and how bad of a guy he is I think I am pretty much screwed out of seeing any sort of refund. Dean Borland is a crook!! So much for my nice relaxing weekend away....
