We visited Saugatuck for the weekend. The motel is old, not centrally located, and had questionable people staying there. The rooms were old (TV from the '70's, bathroom from the '60's), but generally clean. The pool and whirlpool were inoperable. Hotel staff didn't speak English well, which created problems when trying to resolve our concerns. We ended up leaving about 10 minutes after we arrived and stayed at The Pine Ridges Motel down the street. Even though the motel refused to refund our prepaid reservation, it was worth the extra money to stay elsewhere and feel safe and comfortable.
