“Very Bad experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

first night I did not have internet, second and third only one channel of tv. Very poor customer service. One night I did not get towels, shampoo, bath mat (provided when requested from office). I mistakenly left items, and was in town till 9 pm that night), I received no phone call) but one of the items was acknowledged when I called after getting home. The other they said they didn't find.

The building was fine, this was a major management problem. Communications very poor. Very unhelpful.

This was a busy weekend in town with a movie festival happening. There were few rooms seem to be occupied. I now understand why.

“Left immediately after checking-in.”

We visited Saugatuck for the weekend. The motel is old, not centrally located, and had questionable people staying there. The rooms were old (TV from the '70's, bathroom from the '60's), but generally clean. The pool and whirlpool were inoperable. Hotel staff didn't speak English well, which created problems when trying to resolve our concerns. We ended up leaving about 10 minutes after we arrived and stayed at The Pine Ridges Motel down the street. Even though the motel refused to refund our prepaid reservation, it was worth the extra money to stay elsewhere and feel safe and comfortable.

“Don't stay here if you like hot water showers”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2010

Upon arrival, the place looked OK. The pool was clean, and the hot tub almost warm. The rooms are not "retro" - they are very old and not updated in any way. Hot water faucet in bathroom did not work - didn't matter - there was no hot water in the morning anyway ! Wall paper pealing and dust was everywhere. Fake flowers full of dust, even the hangers were dusty !! Bathroom in severe need of repairs - caulk was not even installed properly, where they bothered to caulk. Outside noise not a problem cause the room A/C was so loud !!

“Great Place to be stay”

Weekend of 4th July we stayed at the timberline Motel for the first time. I had very good experience. They have very good clean and deep pool and out door hot tub. Staff was very friendly and room was big and clean and looks like has been remodeled. Breakfast was not bad either, I have called other hotel to book the room and price was around $189 but timberline has lower than other hotel. I think price is not bad. I have read the other reviews but, I don’t find any problems.
