The lake view is nice; but, no beach access at the hotel. The hotel is clean. Their breakfasts are quite good. The hotel needs to supply higher quality toilet paper.

Although it was too far from downtown to walk, I very much liked the location of this hotel. It was quiet, and across the street from the Lake. Although there's no beach access (since it's a cliff down to the water), the view was very nice. And there was a little park across the street and down a little that had a nice area for watching the lake.

Great spot if you have a car or bike.

The hotel itself was clean and seemed recently renovated. I thought the breakfast was better than average. (I recommend the pancakes!) I love that there's always coffee & tea available, around the clock. It was nice to see a gentleman cleaning the pool and testing the ph each and every morning.

I was pleasantly surprised by the entire Benton Harbor/St. Joseph area. It was very nice.

When we first drove up to the hotel, my heart sank! Yes, they are "on" the water, if you consider across the street and down a huge embankment to be "on the water". Not to mention the disgustingly run down Mexican restaurant right next door to the hotel, and I mean so close next door you could almost touch it! We could barely pull into the check in area, because it was lined with the hotel housekeeping, which were obviously on smoke breaks. Not a great first impression! Overall, the hotel was clean-ish, they could definitely benefit from new carpet. The beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were nice. At $200 a night, I expect better though!

My daughter and I stayed here the end of July. We had a free room with priority club points. I had to make two reservations due to availability. The first night was in a handicap King room on the first floor, our view was a little courtyard by the pool. Really nice and spacious room. When we went down to breakfast the next day and I asked about checking into another room they gave us a choice. Stay in that nice room or move to a nicer one! We were moved for the next two nights to a lakeside 2nd floor room, absolutely huge. Great view of the lake and sunset and the road traffic did not bother us at all. When we needed more pillows, they showed up. When I needed directions, they knew right where to go.
Great breakfast, but we were a little sick of it by the 3rd day. Pancakes you could make, bacon or sausage, biscuits with gravy, lots of donuts and pastries and yogurts. Coffee anytime was nice too. We drove to the beach for two days, right up the road in 5 minutes. We used the pool once, then we got too burnt on the beach to get back in! Nice size fitness room, but we didn't use it.
Wonderful Inn, would recommend to anyone!
