Just returned from 2 night stay. This place is very old and very run down. I made the reservation thru ORBITZ for what was stated as $81.00/night but was charged $90/night. Friends also booked INDENTICAL room thru ORBITZ and paid $72/night. I could not get any rate adjustment at all even after speaking to the manager at the actual Casino hotel. I was told that the rate if you had a Casino card would have been $78/night but they could ot change it for me. The front desk staff was rude & very unhelpful except for one girl who could see how frustrated I was with the situation, but was unable to make any rate adjustment. THERE IS NO BREAKFAST of any kind even though it is advertised as continental breakfast included and was the reason we chose this hotel. A $5 food voucher was given to us but had to be used at the Kewadin Casino several miles away. The rooms were OK but not worth $90/night. Would have paid more to stay somewhere else that actually had breakfast. Will never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel.

The good news is that it was $63.00 a night and the room was recently updated. The view of Lake Huron was beautiful. The pool was ok. The bad news is that the hotel is old and looks shabby. We were in the basement and it smelled musty. We had to walk through a maze to get from the parking lot to the room.
You get what you pay for.

We love staying at the Kewadin Lakefront Inn when visiting the UP. The rooms are large and very clean and the packages are the best in the area.

The hotel was located right on the lake. I do wish; however, we had a view of the water. The room was alright but nothing overly exciting: the bed wasn't comfortable, the bathroom was utterly tiny, the shampoo/condition/soap was better than most hotels, the plumping was loud, the walls were thin (we heard every car door being shut). The indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice. Shuttle service to/from the casino was nice, it only took them about 10 minutes to get there, well worth the wait if you want to drink. They serve free coffee&tea 24/7, which is nice. But they didn't offer free breakfast of any sort. My boyfriend and I did a package that included food/gas vouchers and tokens for the casino. Beware: the casino tokens can only be used in TEN slot machines. I had to wait almost twenty minutes to redeem them but it was worth it. We ended up winning $30.

The casino was great. Great selection of food: a deli then the buffet that also included meals that you could order. Friday night is cheap drinking night: dollar beers, $1.50 for low self mixed drinks. The food was amazing at the Horseshoe Restaurant. I ordered a Caesar Wrap. There were low minimum bets at the tables ($5 at Roulette). It wasn't too busy but still busy enough to have a good atmosphere.

If you get a bargain, this place is worth it. We would have rather stayed in the actual casino but they were booked. We ended up very pleased with our experience.
