This hotel has a fantastic view of the Mackinaw Bridge. The rooms were clean but need updating i.e. the bedding, couch (which was stained), chairs. The bed was comfortable but the bedding a bit shabby. The balcony was grungy - covered in old indoor/outdoor carpet and needed to be replaced. The pool area was clean but some paint was peeling on the walls. Outside pool area has a deck that is directly situated next to old cabins. The main entrance smelled funny. Breakfast was spartan and the coffee like dishwater. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of towels available. Wi-fi was spotty. Hallways smelled musty. A little TLC would make this a place I would go back to again. This could be a nice property if things were updated.

We stayed at Super 8 for Friday and Saturday (Aug 24-26). If we go back we wont stay on the St. Ignace side! The hotel is nice looking. The entrance has double doors and it smells like something has died in between the doors. The best option was holding your breath until you were inside the building. The elevator had the same odor. Our room was quiet and large. It was slightly odd though, the refrigerator was unplugged and the air conditioning was turned off. There was a horrible odor from the fridge. The pool area was nice. It wasn't ever crowded and it was quiet comfortable. The paint on the walls was peeling but nothing too serious. They have a deck off of the pool area with 2 storage sheds that someone started to paint and then never finished it. The breakfast was okay. There were only 3 tables to eat at so people were standing around eating. Breakfast ends at 9 am so I'd suggest you go early. The restaurants in St. Ignace are horrible. They're not very clean. The "mystery spot" is also a waste of money. Overall our stay wasn't horrible but there were things that could have used improvement.

i stay here every summer! great staff, locally family owned! every time i need something Jim is there to help us out! thanks Jim! they have the best views of the bridge, i don't have a photo right now but i will post one again after i get up there this summer!! It is really a million dollar view! my kids love the pool and clyde's is right accross the street! i have found that its also much cheeper to cross the bridge; u save a ton on your rooms!! see you again this summer!
