Bob and Elaine are the best hosts ever!!! We felt like we were among friends immediatly. We love St.Ignace, and the Bear Ciove Inn was home to us for several days. Bob and Elaine provided us with directions to whereever we wanted to go, and all the activities in St. Ignace, MI. were given to us. We highly recommend the Bear Cove Inn, and would go back in a second if we could. It was a wonderrful "home base" for us, while we traveled around the territory. I have stayed at The Bear Cove multiple times and have always had wonderful service. The rooms are clean and the prices are very reasonable. Bob and Elaine are Great and I would rather stay with them than some family members. I would definatly recommend to stay here for a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

We stayed at the Bear Cove Inn in late September, based on the positive reviews here. It completely lived up to our expectations! Elaine and Bob are wonderful hosts and make you feel like part of the family. The rooms are adorable and immaculately clean. I travel frequently for business, and I've stayed at five-star resorts that were dirtier. The breakfast nook is great and had a nice selection for a continental-style breakfast. We didn't see any of the wear and tear mentioned by the previous poster (maybe a little traffic because we were there right at the end of the busy summer family season). All in all, it was quaint, friendly, comfortable, and a heck of a bargain!

I booked the room based on the positive reviews on tripadvisor. The hosts were certainly pleasant and welcoming but the motel is worn and weary. The decorations are cute and fun but do not cover up the fact that the carpet is horrible and the beds are terribly uncomfortable. The steps to the room are broken concrete. Our hostess told us that people come to St. Ignace because they want to relive the 1930's.
