I travelled from LA to Sacramento and stayed at this hotel for a court appearance in Roseville. I called the hotel in advance and asked if I could get taxi service from the hotel to get to court get for an 8:30 a.m. hearing. I was assured that I could and that the court was close to the Hotel. I confirmed all of this in a second call. Based on these representations, I did not rent a car. The day before I checked in I confirmed that a taxi would pick me up at 7:30 a.m. I was assured tht a taxi had been ordered. When I checked in after midnight, I reminded the clerk I needed the taxi at 7:30 a.m. Again, I was told the taxi was ordered. The next morning, when the taxi was not there at 7:40 a.m., I asked the clerk to call the taxi company. She did. She said the taxi would be there in ten minutes. At 7:55 I asked her to call again. This time no one answered. She made other calls, but was unable to find a taxi who could get to the hotel in less than a half hour. I asked if the hotel had a shuttle. They did not. I aked to speak with the manager. None on duty. I asked who at the hotel could drive me to court. The clerk did not drive and the only other person there was a maid. At 8:10 a.m. I convinced the maid to take me to court. I made my court hearing with seconds to spare. Needless to say the stress was overwhelming for myself, the clerk and the maid. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I counted on the hotel's assurances and when the taxi did not show up the hotel provided me with no other options. Although the clerk and maid were very kind, the manager never called or tried to rectify the problem. Very unprofessional.

Hotel was nice, breakfast was great too, but the morning staff member at the front desk on the 3rd of September was rude and seemed not to enjoy being employed with the Holiday Inn. I would suggest re-training for her, or perhaps, have her work behind the scene, as her attitude does not help business one bit.

We visit Detroit often and have tried several hotels in our quest to find a decent place to stay. After staying at the Roseville Holiday Inn Express, I'm sad to say we're still looking. When we returned after being away all day, we found the door to our room open. The room had been serviced by a maid who left it open all day. Fortunately, it appeared nothing had been taken. We had been disappointed that the room didn't have a safe, so we didn't leave much of value in the room. We also shared the room with at least two cockroaches. The walls and ceilings are thin -- the sound of people walking above us at night was louder than it should be. As we were checking out, the hotel power went off. If you're a hotel owner and looking for an opportunity, just open a nice, well-run hotel near Detroit and you won't have much competition.

We travel to Roseville, MI three times a year and have stayed at almost every motel near Mack Avenue. The Holiday Inn is the best. The motel has a strict policy of no party, children are not allowed in the pool or breakfast area without an adult. The towels, sheets, and pillows are the new Holiday Inn soft touch. The rooms are redecorated and rooms, baths, hallways, and elevator where very clean. We found the front desk staff friendly and professional and the breakfast sever was professonal and the breakfast bar had a good selection and the food was hot. There is a great golf course - St. Clair Shores - located less than a mile from the motel!
